It was the only exam I took at school (after I'd left actually). But since then I have also discovered a huge interest in geography/geology. How this planet has changed shape and is in constant fluctuation, is just fascinating.
Funny that you get your knickers in a twist about a Saints fan commenting on a thread titled; 'Scummers bottom of the EPL' Some of you lot really are a bit precious.
Errrrmmm - do you know who the poster is? Not so sure you would want to associate yourself with him (before you get your own knickers in a twist).
Do it! I took Geography at Plymouth University. Great course, really interesting and a really good variety of modules (at Plymouth anyway).
What the others are saying is true, HR. The guy was making racist comments, which I'm sure you'll heartily agree, must be stamped on asap and the poster banned likewise.
Did i miss something? Saintsgomarching in banned maybe?! So SB3 looks on the money at 2-0 to the Baggies with worse to follow for the dirty Scummers? Its all that pony fiddling that turns their heads away from what they should be concentrating on like being well bottom of the league and 'Relegationfodder', new name for you maybe' Channonfodder '
West Ham will easily stay up. They certainly have one of the most efficient ways of winning a footie game 1-0! Reading and Saints are down already, IMO. Southampton to finish last, Reading second last, with QPR or Villa to finish 18th. Anyway, roll on to the next game- I predict Saints 0-3 Swansea unfortunately for you Saints fans- Swans are doing well again after their minor blip
Certainly not looking good for them, is it ? 4 points out of a possible 30, and most number of goals conceded in the Premier League.
Woops. I thought by options you meant you're considering which course to take, but I guess options was meant as you are taking Geography and something at Uni? Which Uni are you at? and how are you getting on with the Geography option?
I think this pretty much explains my whole life story mate, the thread below .. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/174199-The-quot-Who-Are-Ya-!-quot-Thread! Can't remember if I wrote the answer on there to one of the things you asked me- I'm at University College London! Did you take it at Uni ?? Oh by the way- I've changed the name of this thread from "Scummers botton of the EPL" to "The Geography and Uni Thread" as I thought it would be more fitting!
Well call me a failing student but I had to look up what that word meant! http://www.thefreedictionary.com/liberty And I guess maybe I was
A colloquialism. (Often used by young women to young men, although I think nowadays it is preceded by the vernacular - ie a word beginning with eff) 3. (often plural) a social action regarded as being familiar, forward, or improper 4. (often plural) an action that is unauthorized or unwarranted in the circumstances he took liberties with the translation or in PL Stewies case, he took liberties with the title take liberties (with) to be overfamiliar or overpresumptuous take the liberty (of or to) to venture or presume (to do something)
And I have changed it back! Taking liberties indeed what about my freedom of speech and human rights , I should complain to Brussels!
Cheers, just had a look at your thread. I always have the utmost respect for people that go to Uni in a different country, so fair play. Are you planning on moving back to Norway once you have finished Uni? Yeah I just finished Uni this summer. Spent the last 3 years studying Geography at University of Plymouth. Geography is such a broad subject, there's just far too much to know! Fieldtrips are always fun too, have been to Bath, Bristol, Glastonbury, Cheddar Gorge, and South West Ireland among other places closer to Plymouth while at Uni. There were options to go to Morocco, China or America as modules in third year but they were too expensive for me, otherwise I would have gone to Morocco. Have you ever seen Prof Iain Stewarts tele shows? Did one fairly recently called 'Volcano Live' alongside Kate Humble. He was one of my lecturers for a module I took in third year called 'geohazards', pretty cool/scary doing a presentation in front of such a well-known geologist! Are you taking straight Geography or alongside another subject? And now for the big one....would you consider yourself a human or a physical Geographer? No fence sitting, this is an important matter
