    Luke Steele?
Not a chance, I can't see Brendan going after a Trafford FC reject. It works the other way around, Trafford FC have Liverpool reject Scott Wootton.

From what I have seen of Steele, he looks good.

But I would prefer to have Butland.

Butland would be my choice too, he's going to be the next Joe Hart. He's a wonderful prospect. He would definitely cost less than the £20 million Baconface spent on the long streak of piss.

A new rumour has surfaced that Brendan Rodgers wants 23 year old Simon Kjaer as successor to Jamie Carragher. There is a few connections which would make a move easy. Kjaer is an international team-mate of Daniel Agger and he's also a former team-mate at club level of Fabio Borini at Roma.

I'd quite like that move. The last few times I've watched the Danish team, Kjaer has stood out in defense, for me. Not sure it's vital at the moment, with our lack of bite in attack being our most pressing problem, but I'd not say no if the price is right. <ok>

frankly if simon kjaer is now available at a lahf decent price.... well its not the priority but he's a top top buy.

If we had money I'd draw up a list like this:

    1. Butland - would definitely be on my list, the chance is there to snatch him up.
    2. Ricky Van wolfswinkel
    3. erikkson
    4. Kjaer
    5. Striker like huntelaar if the price is very right.

to me i'd love to see us then play a team like this

    Reina
    Johnson skertl Agger Enrique
    Allen Lucas
    suarez Errikson sterling
    Van W

I'd want Kjaer, wisdom, suso, gerrard, butland, henderson and huntelaar

    If we had money....

Kjaer is a top tlaent, erikkson will be the very best midfielder of his generation, van W is a goal scorer and i thin kthe formation and players all work.

I expect Suarez to continue largely as a false 9. That makes the wide forward positions the key ones to improve. We need players who will make the right runs, hold the ball up, link with others, and most importantly, score goals.

Some players who fit this are:
    Walcott
    Tello
    Pedro
    Muller
Skurlle (from what I'v heard any way)
    Belhanda
    Sturridge

I'm not saying they are all realistic signings though.

I feel we also need a direct striker to give us an alternative/ make us flexible.

    Players who fit this:
    Huntelaar
    Sturridge
    Ba
    Van Wolfswinkle
    De Jong
    Hooper
    Bent
    Llorente
    Negredo

Sturridge being i both lists does not mean he is the perfect solution though. I'd put Borini in both lists to.

A great January transfer window for me would be Holtby, Hunterlaar and Walcott:

Holtby - such a clever player, one touch passing and has the ability to unlock defences.
Hunterlaar - won't do much in the whole game but you will find him on the end of chances. Fantastic movement, awareness and intelligence.
Walcott - the lad may lack game intelligence but he is clinical.

The best thing is that all 3 are in the last years of their contracts so the prices will be affordable.

Do we need someone to do a lot in a whole game due to the added creativity we have got in our side now? Our side is creative, but it doesn't turn creativity into an end product. Someone like Huntelaar would provide an end product. Neither Ian Rush or Torres did much during games, but they provided that essential end product. I just want to see all our possesion and and creativity turned into goals and it's goals that gets results.

Absolutely. Huntelaar and Walcott could provide the goals and the 'finishing touch' to our passing and possession.

However, we may create plenty of chances in the game but how many of those are clear cut chances? Using the Newcastle game as an example - despite having over 60% possession and around 20 shots, we only had 3 clear cut chances - Suarez's goal, Shelvey header and Shelvey's 6 yard miss.

I feel Holtby is player who can create more clear cut chances for our strikers thus giving them the best chance of scoring.

Apparently, we've sent scouts to check out 18 year old Belgian, Dennis Praet who is considered to be one of the brightest talents coming out of Belgium.
