Think any chance of us ever seeing him in a City shirt again went today, made some great saves at Old Trafford. Great shame for us but real pleased for him, seemed like a great lad and think he genuinely loved his time here and would av signed given the chance.
I thought he was the best of a poor bunch of Arsenal players yesterday. Made a good save from RVP too. Would love to have him back here but he belongs in the premier league.
Now he's getting game time in at a Club like Arsenal I think he's now unlikley to return to the NPC - he has also been looked at by the big Serie A clubs hasn't he?

Yes he will be playing top flight football for a few years yet, lets hope we can be the next top flight side he signs for!
His value will also have sky rocketed. What could we have got him for before, 1.5m was it? Great deal at the time and one we should have gone for when we had the chance, people said it was too much at the time but if it was an outfield young attacking prodigy like rasheeb sterling at that price everyone would have been ****ing themselves into a coma.
Think he signed a new 5 year deal with Arsenal during his first spell with us so he must have around 3 and ahalf years left on that contract yet. He could well end up been Arsenal's number 1 with performance's like Saturday's. Szczesny isn't all that so why not eh.
Definitely a big mistake not grabbing him while we could. There's a very slim chance that he'd come back now that he's virtually number 1 at Arsenal. Maybe we should snatch good ol' Boaz Myhill back. He's at West Brom isn't he? Won't be playing and should be cheap.
I imagine we couldn't afford the £1m. The manager that is, within hus budget. Mannone is too good to be playing for us at this level. As for Myhill, I love the bloke but I'd honestly rather have Amos from a footballing point of view.
Tough one, because I know that Amos is young, and the potential is definitely there, but he makes too many mistakes. You can't have poor decision making when you're supposed to be challenging for promotion. I'd much prefer Myhill. He's been there, done it, knows the pressure. When's Jakupovic getting a start anyways?
I really don't think Amos makes that many mistakes at all. It seems to be something that's just been made up on here lately. Myhill actually did make mistakes, for every world class reaction save there'd be a goal where he got lobbed stood still on his line. Great goalie mind, I just think Amos is better. Jakupovic has only started making the bench because Oxley went out on loan, he's effectively our 3rd choice 'keeper. Someone on here said that Bruce doesn't actually rate him and he was a Barmby signing on the reccomendation of Gary Walsh the goalkeeping coach. Another poster claimed that Elden was definitely going to be signed long before he actually was and since he hasn't been favoured at all by Bruce since joining, I'm inclined to believe the posters who made those claims.
Amos hasn't made loads of mistakes but he has made some costly ones. Spilling at 'Boro. Running out to Kevin Davies against Blackpool and staying there. For some reason, ran for the ball when the defenders had it easy against Barnsley. Distribution is poor - kicks are usually into the stands and there seems to be no urgency to throw it out wide and start a counter attack. The Jakupovic situation is a strange one really. I've heard that he's a rather good keeper and I'd like to see him get his chance in a starting position. There's not much that can be done if Brucey doesn't like him but, it seems a waste. Isn't he an International for wherever he comes from or something?
I presume you mean Phillips? Amos does have an erratic streak in him but I do think he will be a good keeper in the future. Time will tell whether he will be as good as Mannone
I missed the Barnsley game so I'll have to just accept your view on that one. The thing against Blackpool wasn't his fault in a million years. McShane lost his man completely and ended up chasing him towards his own goal for a change, Amos had to come out and narrow the angle which he did very well in forcing Phillips wide but it was still an easy goal because he'd had to go that far and was outside his area so couldn't handle it. The defenders were definitely to blame for that. Far too easy to poiint fingers and the keeper without thinking it through.
