Borat can stay, but only as a water boy.

Does that seem fair to everyone? I think so. No more messing with the keepers Nige.

    What's with the comic sans??

Boruc is the best keeper on paper but you're right, Gazzaniga has looked the most assured of the three we've used this season.

I think at this stage with Boruc not particularly impressing and then getting himself into hot water, Gazzaniga is the way to go until he proves otherwise. I think Boruc is the better keeper at the moment but Gazza has the attributes of a great one and dropping him again would be unfair with him doing nothing wrong and Boruc nothing right.

Super Kelv is a better keeper than Boruc. There, I said it. Hope we sack the muppet. Given a chance he never deserved, taking a place he never earned, its my only gripe with Nige. But its a big fat one.

I honestly couldn't care about the bottle throwing incident. Boruc does however look out of shape and indecisive. Gazza hasn't really put a foot wrong for us, and is so cool under pressure it's almost disconcerting, yet was temporarily displaced for Boruc until bottle-gate occurred. This doesn't sit well with me as I believe in earning your place in a team.

What is it with all these Borus lovers? Did they enjoy watching Celtic five years ago, where does all this rate come from?

You watch him play in Italy last two years? I'd like to know the issue with him and I'm not a Celtic fan

Yes I agree with earning your place in a team but NA seems to not be able to make up his mind re a goalie. And yes any player who hasn't played for months on end isn't going to be in tip top shape

Paulo has looked class since he started that first game. Kelvin has saved 2 penalties and looked a bit dodgy at times. Borat looked crap for the first goal he conceded and hasn't looked much better since. Tells a story.

Only 1 of our 3 keepers would've stopped that corner going in tonight....and he played. Davis might've just scrappily got to it. Borat would still have been trying to move.

The bottle throwing incident aside, Boruc has been quite ordinary in goal. The most confident goalie we have is the least experienced. He also happens to have two exceptionally good passing feet, for a goalkeeper. Gazziniga is between the sticks on merit, IMO.

Well if you agree he's not in top shape, then you can see why I don't currently want him between the sticks. Show some dedication, slim down, play a few good games for the development squad and we'll have another look.

Exactly. I'm not saying he should be in squad. I agree he should have played in a lot more under 21 games first and got his fitness and match fitness up to par but he seemed to play well in games he did play in at that level. I'm not saying he should be in goal just that some of the bashing going on in this forum seems unjust

Would never have dropped Gazzaniga to start with. Adkins hasn't a clue what he's doing with the keepers

Can't see how it would have made a difference. Gazzaniga was helpless against the goals that were scored and had very little to do the rest of the time.

I understand how changing goalkeepers can hurt a team, but I don't see it in this particular instance. The opposition is not scoring due to lack of confidence or unfamiliarity with the keeper. They are scoring because the defense is plainly not good enough.

Still, going forward they might as well start Gazzaniga as he is young and looks promising since it doesn't seem to matter much anyway.

Agree. You can't do anything about players making mistakes. Neither goal was down to Gazza!
