Lallana was playing LWB today it looked like to me! People need to stop excusing Fox, watched a stream online and Lallana was going mental at him in the first half for his long balls and questionable positioning. As i previously mentioned, Morg and Davis had a nightmare, Odemwingies first goal should have been closed down by who ever was left sided. Really uninspiring performance and I think Nige knows it judging by his interview on 5 live. Rest of the defence were solid though. Unfair comments flying all over the place about our defence, think they had theyre best game today.
I'll have you know my rare contributions are inspirational! In all seriousnes, Clyne was our only half decent player this evening I thought, we offered nothing going foward but everytime West Brom got the ball in our half, it always looked like something was going to happen!
Inspirational? But yes I agree about Clyne, considering our foward line is meant to be so good, we were lacking something
Normally Joe, yeah. But it was phrased differently. Normally we get "I am proud to manage this club and I will do my all etc etc." Tonight it was "I've been proud and privileged to manage Southampton, I've enjoyed my journey with them. They've made me a better manager." Etc. and said "it's for the men at the top to decide".
Olly Lancashire on Twitter: "Hate to say but I think it could be Adkins last game..wouldn't be surprised if Cortese appointed himself and changed the name to Cortese FC"
To be fair, Lancashire knows alot more about the inside of the club and Cortese than we would (not that I agree with him)
Can anyone else actually Imagine Nigel not being at Saints?, certainly will be a sad day if he goes, regardless of the situation.
Not too despondent.West Brom are top five currently!Well organised & strong. The effort was there today & the fans were in good voice. Our final ball was poor but I can take a defeat against a good team away when at least we give it a go even if we do struggle this year.
I decided to go and read what you'd written. I thought it was juvenile, at the very least. And inaccurate. Gillett seemed quite adult about it. My opinion, of course.
I'd get over it if we replaced him with someone like Strachan. You can't get too attached to managers, they never last long.
Yeah, it was childish, but not any more so than much of the moaning about the game today. Inaccurate? I disagree. He did nothing for us. Was a poor League One player.
