Morning all, been on the bread run this morning as we are feeding visitors today. Something good about a French baker's shop and buying bread that is still warm. ;)

Llamas are not something we see every day of the week, but in the small town there were several tethered and happily munching away at the grass. The circus is in town for a couple of days, something that still seems very popular over here. I think that during the course of a year five or six different ones come and set up for a short stay, so it must be worthwhile for them to come.

Llamas ofh or alpacas? We have several alpaca "farms" around here. They look very similar to the non-expert on South American indigenous wooly mammals.

There used to be a farm near Leighton Buzz that had Buffalo - we used to get Buffalo dairy products there for Mrs W_Y when her diary intolerance was particularly bad. But it seems to be closed up nowadays, which is a real shame as the Mozzarella was very good...

Anyone else notice that Britt didn't play for Southend in the FA Cup yesterday? I hope that it was at our request rather than an injury. I think if he stays with us when he comes back, he might struggle to even make the bench unless there are a few injuries among our strikers so he might go on loan to a League 1 side for the second half of the season.

Jody Scheckter, the ex-Formula 1 driver, runs a farm at Laverstoke. not far frpm Winchester. He has a herd of buffalo and his Mozzarella is superb. You can also buy buffalo steaks, hamburgers etc, as well as other organic meat and poultry. Apparently he plays the animals Mozart when they have to be inside.

We asked Southend not to play him. Little Miss W_Y has a Uni mate who is a big Southend supporter (goes home and away) and they are raving about him and would sign him tomorrow if they could..

I noticed that - and also that Jenkins, Forsyth, Whichelow & Mingoia didn't play either - but Garner did. Read into that what you will. :)

Good day all, bright and breezy here, but at 12C a feeling of autumn is about and the colder nights have turned the vine leaves bright red.

It would be really good if we could get back to back wins tomorrow, looking at the table we could be getting within touching distance of the top six.

    Morning all

Waitrose knocks 25% off online wine orders for a few days, then the site won't take my order and they won't answer the phone. Not a business I model I understand...

w_y - Tesco's are sellng A2 milk now which I believe is very good for people with dairy intolerances. We buy it for my autistic son as he also has a special intolerance to milk produced by normal dairy cows. I've attached a link below to their site, have a read and I hope it helps <ok>

Usually yes, Ak, but in this case no. Mrs H has just tried to put the order through in her laptop, using different password and email, and the site still won't accept it.
