Levy has gambled on thinning out our squad and it is weaker overall than last season, 3 of the PL`s (and ours) best players have either been sold or retired and replaced with inferior quality (Verty aside). Siggurdsson looks more and more like a waste of money every time I see him play (hope he comes good) and Dempsey was a panic buy. Our first choice XI looks very good, but the back up when injuries happen isnt quite good enough imo. We need another creative midfielder (Moutinho) and Striker (Leandro) in January as a minimum...... but I reckon I have more chance of winning the lottery than signing those 2 unfortunately. We`ll probably end up with some uninspiring loan deals in Jan rather than the quality we need.

Thanks, Spurf! I guess I can hope we hang on till January, and get a playmaker then (though I agree the prospects are not too sunny of that happening). I'm not convinced we need another striker half as much. I certainly criticized Levy for not getting Moutinho, but at this point I just can't believe that after so many other things threatened to wrech our season and didn't, we've managed to get 4/4 defensive midfielders/playmakers hurt.
I say that we sign Chris Brunt. He's out of contract in the summer and everyone knows that he's better than Xavi...
Maybe we should consider poaching Newcastle's scout. If he can spot Cabaye - who cost less than £5mil, he must be worth having.
Newcastle's Chief Scout Graham Carr, father of Alan, who joined his current club from, er... us? He recently signed an 8 year deal with them.
Didn't realise that PNP. Not sure if he found Cabaye, Tiote, et al. But, somebody up there is doing a great job!..
I think he's been credited with most of their big signings since he joined them a couple of years ago, NSIS. I think Pardew deserves a fair amount for the way that he's handled some of them though, especially Ben Arfa, who had a bad reputation despite his obvious talent.
The site Spurf mentions is http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php Don't know where/how they get their information but they're generally reliable. They didn't spot the recent Dembele injury, mind. It's also one league table where Spurs are always near the top. Been true for large chunks of the last three or so seasons, it seems.
Ha! Yeah - so it's now have a record of being wrong last two times I've been there. Um - so I can thoroughly recommend it! To be fair, though - an injury that only happened two days ago not being up yet is not that bad.
Because he's that good! I think that's just the way that Brazilians and Portguese players tend to do things, for some reason. Nicknames and middle names tend to be the order of the day. Sandro Raniere Guimarães Cordeiro is something of a mouthful, though it doesn't really compare with LuÃs André de Pina Cabral e Villas-Boas.
Ranieri? When you are as unfortunate as him to have the same name as an Italian idiot, its a good idea to drop that name whenever possible.
