If anyone admits on here that they wanted the Swans to lose a game them they do leave themselves open to question. What the hell is wrong with that ???

    I couldn't believe what I was reading.
I've never heard any Swans fan saying they wanted us to lose a game before. and no witch hunt at all I'm guessing that everyone else was as shocked as I was. I didn't see anyone calling for Dai's head or name calling he was answering and gave his reasons why.

Good to see you posting again though Vetch

Let me firstly thank those posters who have seen the OP for what is was/is.
You know who you are so no names necessary.

It wasn't produced purely on the basis of yesterday's posts, but they did help to motivate me.
I wasn't pointing a finger at anyone in particular. No names were mentioned.
For some time now certain contributors have seen fit to attack/victimise/bully,and generally insult regular posters, viz,Casualfan,Breezy, and more recently Dai.
The outcome was to see the back of both Casual and Breezy. Casual because his face didn't fit,and Breezy for standing up for him. Dai looks to be next.
Dai is now being described as a WUM. He may well be.But I don't think so,but others are entitled to their opinion.
Dai is very opinionated, and he has every right to be so.
He can also look after himself,so I am not his representative here.
However,he is first and foremost a Swansea City supporter,at least to my mind.
If he chooses to also follow Liverpool, and see more good than bad in Brendan Rodgers, then he is surely entitled to do so.
I know he has criticised Huw Jenkins in the past, but so what, nobody died.
Dai is a bit like Marmite, slightly bitter, but full of goodness.

    Back to Breezy.
He has been an avid supporter of The Swans',since BBC 606 days.
The fact that he has never even been to Swansea made his devotion to the Club all the more impressive.
He saw an unfairness and great injustice in the way Casual was treated, and eventually banned.
His was a lone voice, and he ultimately met the same fate as Casual.
Those were dark days for this Forum, and I became disillusioned, and more than a little ashamed to be a part of it.
Several heads should be hung in shame, mine amongst them for not being as outspoken as Breezy.
We have seemingly lost a good friend, but I hope he finds his way back home to SA1,in the near future.

It seems that some posters need victims to aim their vitriol at.
If it isn't fellow posters,it's former Managers, former back room staff, current and ex players.

Many of these posters also insist that this Forum is all about "debating football".
Well I for one see no "debate" in insults, bullying, victimisation, etc.

So come on you lot,do what you are good at --- debate --- and leave the nastiness to other Forums.

Accusations of bullying are just absolute bollocks!! It was 2 opposing views, one view of a majority and one of a minority. As I mentioned earlier, the numbers don't make a difference to who's right or who's wrong, it just 2 different opinions.
Tagging it as bullying is if anything offensive to Dai who will tell you himself can more than handle himself and is well capable of fighting his corner.
Citing the insults when defending Dai is double standards and an absolute joke when Dai is probably one of the most insulting posters on here when someone disagrees with his view. I have no problem with that, as I can take it, and so can Dai, but what's good for the goose is good for the gander

SA9,you are missing the point. I am not defending Dai.
This isn't about Dai and the recent altercations,it is about what has taken place in the matter of Casual,Breezy, and their treatment.
I simply highlight the possibility that Dai could be heading the same way as those two.
    I see a lot of "bullying",if you don't,well that's O.K.
As for my comments being "bollocks",well, you are entitled to that viewpoint.
I have already stated that Dai can look out for himself, and I agree with you when you refer to his "insulting" posts. I have been on the end of one,and he got it back.
It is my humble opinion that Casual,Breezy and now Dai were/are being bullied.

Casual made comments on here that were vile Vetch. He made comments about my wife and I make no excuses for giving it to him both barrels. I would react that way to anyone.

It seems to me lately that's its ok for people like Casual and Breezy to dish it out to me relentlessly but not for me to defend myself.

There's a big big difference between those two and Dai, he doesn't make vile personal comments about you or your family.

Casual told me that he hoped my wife would Fcuk off and go and shag someone else. So I say anyone defending that should hang their heads in shame. How would you like it if I stooped to that level (which I won't) and said that to you? As you can see there's a big difference with Dai.

I see the reasons that have been given, there are valid points from all, the question is how do we move on from this ??

Sometimes its difficult to draw a line in the sand, as comment No 11 proves, sometimes people refuse to move on and bitterness festers until the next appropiate moment to cause trouble.

Speaking with the MODS hat on i dont really see what can be done, there are far too many plots and sub-plots going on to really get to the root of the problem, my own view (not MOD) is that the last week has just been totally ****ing bizzare in terms of what made things go from harmony to bitch fest.

All the guys involved are sound posters,we always get the odd lovers tiff but dredgeing things up from months ago, sometimes years ago is not doing anybody any good.
I feel that deep down some people who profess to want to talk about football actually quite enjoy a good old internet argument instead, there is a strong feeling of not wanting to be wrong and always wanting to be proved right, i can understand that, its human nature after all.
Where the football stops and the banter begins is an invisible line and it can only be up to ourselves as posters to Moderate ourselves, i think Aswan made a great point a few weeks back when he stated that the inability to moderate your own content can sometimes be frustrating and it is sommething the old 606 got right.

Its up to fellow posters to sort it out , i can delete things but it solves nothing, all we need is just a little bit more respect toward each other and also to bear in mind that its a public forum and not everyone really cares about personal duals.

We are all jacks at the end of the day, its sometimes frustrating i know, when the insults start flying around, but when it gets heavy just step back for a few weeks and you will find its alot better.

The forum has actually been excellent these last few months so that proves to me everyone wants it to work, the odd dust up will always happen but the content has generally been great with plenty of laughs along the way, lets not lose sight of that eh guys <cheers>

Dai is a great poster rubber, he is left field on some stuff but boy does he stimulate debate!! <laugh>

I wouldn't have him any other way, he loves a subtle WUM and guys on here have been nibbling away not realising, you just take alot of his comments with a pinch of salt, anyway, you know this so its like stating the obvious to you !<ok>

I've got no problem with Dai himself, just his deluded views (that's just my view maybe, I accept). I do have a problem with being labelled a bully though for being one of many to argue a point with Dai.
I have no problem with Vetch as a seasoned and respectable poster on here, but I find this thread more provocative than the original 'Definition of a fan' post which was clearly tounge in cheek to start, but admittedly did decend into chaos.
This thread throws accusations of bullying and drags up the old crap about casual and breezy which have been the main topics of controversy on here in the last few months.
Sorry Vetch, just my view of it <ok>

dai has called my posts rubbish in the past, and i've called some of his rubbish - thats going to happen if you have views that go against the grain.

but constant personal attacks, even if they are true, dont have a place on this site as it can sidetrack from the topic on hand, its meant to be a site to debate and if you do go too far with disagreeing with others then either stop the exchange or apologise......<ok>

Fair enough SA9 i can see your view there and maybe your intentionto have a light hearted thread didnt go 100% to plan!!

I know all you guys as great posters so its something i find a bit frustrating TBH, i do feel that its sometimes better to thrash it our rather than see threads closed and peoples views not aired, i think it helps to clear stuff up .

I think the forum has been really good of late despite what some less frequent posters may think, if it takes the odd dust up to clear the air then thats fine, i and many others dont want it to spill onto other threads though and i think thats a fair thing to want

    Anyway,onwards and upwards guys <cheers>

Dai calls most posts rubbish if he doesn't agree with them, and I accept that, and he accepts it in return. Dai has opposing views to most posters though, so it's to be expected that when he's being controversial, the chances are most views are going to go against him...which in essence is what happened last night.
Not bullying, just everyone disagreed with him and made it known...maybe a bit too repeatedly - granted, but that's all it was

I reckon Dai will piss himself laughing when he sees all this. He didn't complain about anything himself and just got on with it

I was one of the guys who stuck up for casual but to be fair i did not know what he was saying to dill and once i did i joined the lads in agreement to ban him. there is no need of vile personal insults using the PM for any reason and the mods were right to ban him......as for me i will argue till the cows come home if i know im right and i will give as good as i get back. I do wish that the silent guys who pm me agreeing with me would actually go public and say so rather than me saying the facts on my own.....<laugh>

I can confirm what Dai just said is true.

    Dai = 606 Ledgend.

Thankyou Dai for putting this nonsense to bed so we can all move on.
