After yesterday's showing, two youngsters who deserve a chance are Fox (LB) and Harriott (LM). They play together for the under-21's and would be a much better bet on the left than Kerkar and Jackson.

I'd much rather see our youngsters get a go that keep watching the current dross.
Got to be worth a serious consideration now and would redress the balance across the rest of the pitch, playing players in their strongest positions
yeah, it really bugs me when we swap players round to fill gaps. kerkar at left back was a bad choice. moving him there from left midfield made the left midfield place weaker than it could have been as he would have player there had he not been moved. dervitte in midfield is the same. but i can understand it... stephens cant/wont tackle so has to be carried for the match. i wish we sold him now, we could have really strengthened with 2.5m. i'd like to see players in their natural positions, even if the left back chosen is the 3rd or 4th choice at the club.
To be fair the selling Stephens thing didn't really come up till the end of the transfer window so we may not have the time or even be given the money to re-invest.
We played a Borough side who were far stronger on paper than they played and still lost 1-4! --------------- Hamer 3 - Ball watching for first goal instead of coming to collect, I saw one good save unless he made several in the last 5 minutes while I was off having a whizz? Solly 6.5 - did his job OK but can't remember one surge down the wing to cross. Cort 4.5 - poor game, speed of the Borough attackers always worried him. Morrison 5 - very poor pass for their second seemed to take all his confidence away. Kerkar 3.5 - Jackson spent first 15 minutes telling him what positions to take up, has no pace, unable to tackle or (it seems) to cross the ball. Wilson 6 - he gave us an outlet in first half and covered back well. Dervite 5 - teamed up OK with Pritchard but not so well with Stephens. Pritchard 6.5 - would have been higher if left in the middle rather than being pushed out onto the wing (first half - chased everything, tackled and passed well... second half - poor). Jackson 3 - anonymous and gave up in second half. Hulse 5 - tried to make himself available but Woodgate had him in his pocket. BWP 6 - worked hard, but as has been the case for the last 10 months, things just didn't come off. --- Stephens 4 - some awful passes, some tackles, no influence. Haynes N/A - gave the Borough some food for thought with his pace, not enough time or Charlton possession. Cook N/A - I'm not sure where he came on to play? I feel that neither was he.
The radio commentators were praising him first half. Everything went to pot second half all over the pitch. The whole match is available on Charlton Player this morning. I don't remember that any of the four goals were Kerkar's fault so I will have a look at his performance myself.
to be fair he is out of natural position and did struggle a bit, but he was by no means worst player on the pitch. Quite possibly Midds 2nd goal stemmed from when he lost possession back in the left quarter and he isn't aerially strong, but he's playing out of position!!
Oddly enough I thought he was better when he stuck to defending- his crossing was not good. Sometimes he looks up sometimes he doesn't, it doesn't seem to make much difference!
Personally I think he's equally poor at both. At one point on Saturday, he was running with the ball with an opposition player at his side, and attempted to shoulder barge them instead of continue dribbling, only to lose balance himself doing so and thus lose possession. Seems to think he has the strength of Ibrahimovic and the silky skills of Lionel Messi.
