Yeah, but there's no break. We've got a game on the Sunday and another on the Saturday. It's ludicrous to have an international in the middle, especially a friendly. Whoever picks the fixture list is an incompetent twat, frankly.
So there are going to be all sorts of international games going on, well in that case Arsenal might be adversely affected as well, though it's unlikely to be as bad as the Sandro situation.
There shouldn't be any solitary international games, especially friendlies. Asking players to fly halfway round the world for a nothing game in the middle of the season is a joke. Excusing some players because they're at a key point in their season and expecting a bunch of players that are far further away to still turn up is ludicrous.

Sorry Totsfan I'm with Jack on this one. At the Emirates Arsenal are going to be seeing more of the ball than you guys, Dembele and Sandro's fitness is massive in a game like this. With them your chances of winning go from remote to 50/50. Your style under AVB suggests your chances of victory in an NLD are better at the Emirates than at WHL. This could be the difference between finishing above Arsenal and not. Wilshere, Cazorla and Arteta would run Huddlestone, Livermore and (Parker?) absolutely ragged. It's a disgrace and Spurs should demand Sandro's realease and talk to the Brazilian coach. Brazil's pool of talent means they would easily be able to cope v Colombia in a meaningless game in his absence.
think you might find Wilshire missing this match,and as Arsenal's defence showed yesterday,they are overated,they might have a good midfield,But i think you will find Bale and Lennon in our midfield will keep their midfield busy,helping out their rubbish defence.And i'm sure in a NLD we won't play as badly as yesterday.
Equally I'm sure Arsenal won't play as badly as they did yesterday either. It'll be a close game with both sides up for it. It won't be a thrashing like last year IMO. Wilshere is only out for 1 game which is the Fulham game. He'll be back for the Spurs game. I think Arteta, Cazorla and Wilshere will cause you problems. Depends how Wenger sets up though. If he's prepared to relinquish the ball and hit Spurs on the counter they have a better chance. If he approaches the game like he did yesterday then I think Spurs will win. I cannot for the life of me why Wenger plays 4-3-3 against all opposition.

Not trying to blow our trumpet but I thought it was Chelsea that worked out how to stop Arsenal playing. Oscar did an excellent job taking Cazorla out the game. Up until that point Arsenal were flying with every pundit to a man saying they were title contenders. Since then I've not seen Arsenal near as good as they have been. That said you won't get anywhere with players like Andre Santos playing for you. In fairness to AVB, these are not his players, he wants to have his own blueprint on this Spurs team rather than being just a normal successor to Harry, that is understandable. This is Wenger's squad and his players and they have now played 4 games in a row and created next to nothing in all of them (not including the Reading game). Massive 2 weeks ahead for both North London clubs, but frankly that's stating the obvious.
