Agreed. He has to be the worst manager i can remember considering the hype around his hiring. I like TF but what he knows about football could be written on a postage stamp with a stick of chalk!!

Why are people on here bringing about the end of the world over football, bit melodramatic isn't it. Someone mentioned avram grant and West Ham, they're really in s**t street since that happened eh? Newcastle too? If our players are tied down and won't leave then we'll have one he'll of a championship squad to come straight back up!! No matter what happens this year we've all been through much worse with the R's. Let's face it, we don't support the club because of all our unrivalled success over the years do we? Next year, relegated or not, there will still be a club to support and we'll still be there cheering and booing them week in week out. It's all part of why we have football running through our veins. If you're fed up with the ups and downs, can't deal with setbacks and struggles then there are 4 clubs in the premiership who only worry about what trophy they'll end up with this year. And they will be glad for the extra fans should you wish to change allegiances for an easier life!!

Don't have a problem with us being relegated at all. The issue is with how it's happening.

I actually said FINANCIAL armageddon, which is a term of speech to outlay the collapse of an economic or financial insituitution or economy.

And Newcastle and West Ham both had a big enough fan base and product to sustain a year in the Championship.....we do not.

QPR are massivley punching above their weight financially when it comes to wages....we cant afford to be relegated and miss out on the huge amount of sky money that Premier League clubs get next season (which also increases the gap between the Top Tier and everything below it).

Not sure why you are insinuating that any person who vents their frustration at the club they love and pay vasts amounts of money to watch, should take a hike off to a top 4 plastic club? Wide of the mark old chap.

    Agreed.

Some people never liked Hughes from the start and its nothing to do with football. A lot of allegations have been made but none have been substantiated.

Ever heard of parachute payments? That's what keeps the relegated teams going for a season or two. And if we are punching well above our weight, then what's wrong with being knocked out and dropping back to our right weight? And before you go on about fans, Wigan and Fulham had barely a couple of thousand fans before establishing themselves in the premiership, so that part of the argument doesn't hold water! We won't go anywhere near portsmounths troubles and they're still a club aren't they? In the football league? Fans still able to watch them?

By the way Franckster, I didn't actually see your post mate. It wasn't a personal attack on you, I was referring to the forum as a whole, not just this post....

We care about our club. It's a forum for debate. With respect....some of what you're saying makes no sense. May as well shut the forum and just accept what is happening whilst parting with a huge wedge to go and support my team then.

Yep, And so did Portsmouth and Coventry and Charlton and Leeds and so on and so on. For every WBA or Newcastle you have 2 that have gone down at least 2 tiers. I'm afraid that Mr.Fernandes, as well intentioned as he is may not have the financial muscle to pull this one around

Air Asia is performing well, Latest unaudited quarter results show revenues and profits well in line with forecast and top quartile in their segment. That not many people like them, well that's the same as Easyjet or Ryan Air. However there has been a significant change in ownership structure this year of the Air Asia Group with it now becoming a joint venture. This is not alarming as this can be seen as a reduction of risk, need for cash flow for futher capital investment or the right timing to maximise share price. This change indicates a substantial consortium which although probably headed and fronted by Mr.Fernandes, his is not the sole voice by any means.

He has already ventured into a rather expensive F1 toy languishing at the bottom of that particular pit and the investment required to maintain QPR's current staff woul be even more prohibitive, parachute or not. It is at this stage that tyhe real gambling goes on - TF is faced with - Do I maintain this structure and hope it gets us back up or do I pull the plug?

You see - I have very little faith that the good parts of this side would stay in the NPC. Indeed Faurlin,Granero, probably Diakite would be off- That would leave us with the likes of Ferdinand,SWP,Onouha,Zamora,AJ etc. Are we confident they could get us back up in one go. And what of Mr.Hughes, he undoudtedly would stay as he cannot walk, could he cut it at what we know is a unique and arduous level?

Make no bones about it Soopermack or anyone else - Relegation could spell probable disaster for this club taking it around 20 years to recover - Now any rrs supporter feeling this right now has no problem in seeing us back in the 2nd or 3rd tiers, we've been there and enjoyed it. My greatest memories are not of 76 but 2002-03 of taking my then 2 year old to his first match and beating Port Vale 4-0. Bircham's last minute winner against Brentford and the noise after Furlong scored against Oldham.

We're not afraid of that, we're afraid of oblivion.

That's fine, my point was that I just don't rate Hughes and never have, bit like most.

He will take QPR down and I don't want to see us collapse again.

It took us 15 years or so to recover from the last one and watching us play Barnsley or Brighton is not where I want to see QPR again.

Which is why I was surprised at few months ago when I asked if anyone else felt we had given Hughes too much power, everyone said it was fine, don't worry no problem. Everything this club has done since Hughes came in has been about him. From the training ground, to academy, and every staff appointment are all Hughes's men! Who is going to tell him no?

This so called disaster is all speculation! There in no fact involved at all. You can't base what TF is doing on what's happened to other clubs, each situation is different, even amongst the clubs you have stated!! We could spend our whole lives worrying about the what ifs in life, but it gets you nowhere.......
