    Hi All,

I've been to the last few games to follow my team and I have to say how annoyed and saddened I am by the way we play!

I can see one major floor in our team... NO WINGERS!!!

Think back to our first season in the champ when we had Gradel, Snodgrass and Watt! We scared defenses because we had players capable of carrying the ball! Now we have Tonge a centre mid plying wide left and White a left back playing wide right, it truly baffles me! I also don't understand why we have signed Hall if we're not going to see him, I'd rather have Poleon on the bench...

One more point, the sooner Brown is out the team the better! I can see why Brighton are bitter about last night because if it were a player off their team I would have said he should be off the pitch! He just scares me watching him, it always looks as though hes going to commit a foul!

I hope Warnock reads this and sees some sense!

    Thoughts?

    Jonny <ok>

I agree with nearly everything you've said. Bit harsh on Brown though. Although he scares the crap out of me too in the way he's seemingly looking to get sent off, he always looks one of our better players (which isn't saying much I know). Last night he was head and shoulders above Tonge, Austin and headless chicken White. He even went on a surging run towards the end!

But as I've said on the Brighton match thread, we're just a team full of scrappers - no class, no guile, no width, no pace. Basically not very good, and we're deservedly mid table.

Sure we'll pick up points here and there, and try to hang on to the coat tails of the top six till January when hopefully we'll have some money to spend, but therein lies the dilemma. The players are hardly going to bust a gut when half of them know they'll be replaced for the second half of the season if we're still within touching distance of the playoffs and going for a promotion push.

I suppose your right about Brown last night as much as i hate to admit it!

I'm not even sure if this investment will ever happen!

One player who is class and head and shoulders above all the team... Sam Byram!

I think the issue is simply that Warnock prefer's players who don't show great technical skill, but fight for everything. An example of this could be that he would choose Nicky Butt over Ryan Giggs.
The current squad is poor, probably one of the worst squads we have had for years and they are 100% Warnock's squad.
I hate watching Leeds United now, I know we will be boring and do everything I dislike about football, but we are still up there and who knows what will happen, so perhaps that's all that matters.
As for Brown, I really dislike this guy, I can't wait for him to get his comeuppance and suffer a serious (career ending) injury.

I said on this board a few months ago that we need to adopt a new philosophy and playing style, and get rid of warnock hoofball, but was accused of being a troll. Under Simon Grayson our football was good, it was Grayson that laid the foundations of Blackpool's success as a footballing side so I still don't know why Bates got rid of him to be honest. I think we should keep Warnock until January to keep the ship steady, but then replace him and give the funds to someone with the right philosophy to take us forward as a football team. There is potential in the current side, but too many are completely inept

We lost all our "class and excitement" along with Gradel, Howson and Snodgrass.

Firstly Im 100% sure warnock does not prefer less skillful players. He prefers players who are technically good and hard working. Its just thats all he can afford.

Secondly wishing that on a leeds player, is a disgrace. I hope you get your comuppance and suffer a serious (life ending) injury. **** you boab

Although I can't stand the sight of Brown in a Leeds shirt, I do hope he plays against Chelsea after what they did to Eddie Gray all those years ago

I actually ****ing love Brown. I hate the style and all that **** that Warnock has but Brown isn't just a deep lying midfielder that tries to break everyone's legs. He actually passes the ball very well, has good vision, knows where he should be, puts in a lot of solid tackles. He is at the end of his career but he has done a good job at leeds and been much better than a lot of 'Warnock' signings that have had more money spent on them.

What annoys me more about Warnock is all of our better players in the team were already here prior to Warnock's arrival bar Austin. He got rid of a better keeper and bought a more expensive, older one to replace him. Who actually prefers Norris to Clayton? His signings have been pretty poor actually, I think there were enough funds available to get a considerably better squad than he has.

Most of those Chelsea players have probably retired by now.

Ken Bates will have a closer connection to those thugs than any player currently wearing their shirt.

Reading a few of the comments and adding my own - I don't care if Brown never plays in a Leeds shirt again, he is an accident waiting to happen. There is hard tacking and there is going out trying to possibly ruin another players career, Brown is too far over the top for my liking.

Whilst I can agree with you there, the question I guess is was it worth the extra money between what we paid for Kenny and what we got for Lonnegan.

Given how tight our finances are, could that money have been better spent elsewhere, given that Lonnegan was more than capable last season.

If you have a decent outfield in front of you then a team doesnt need an outstanding goalkeeper, just a solid one, not even that if you consider John Lukic must be one of the few goalies to have won first division championships with 2 different clubs, never mind in consecutive seasons :)

I think we're all forgetting that Lonegran was leaving anyway due to a family situation. So who else was Warnock going to bring in that can cut it as good as kenny can? Answers on a postcard ....

As for Brown - he has more commitment to LUFC than the rest of the team put together, as far as I can see. And why are we worried if he gets sent off? Do I have to trot out a list of great players that have been sent off fighting for that white jersey?
