I love seeing Eagles do badly because of the whole "dream team" stuff last season.

Mikey, what have you got on at the moment? I'm on Vikings/Seahawks.

Agree there. Teams I probably like the least are the Packers and the Cowboys. Patriots I have a mild dislike for, but I also have a mild mancrush on the Gronk.

I have Giants-Steelers on at the mo. Nothing's happened whatsoever apart from a Ben Rothlesbirger sack.

Motherfucking Vince Young! Did us such a great favour with that one, backed it up nicely by being thoroughly **** when Vick got inevitably injured half way through the season. Eagles legend forever.

Am on Steelers Giants right now, bit of a scrap at the moment but a great match-up so hoping for a cracker, especially with both Eli and Roethlisberger being prone to late game heroics.

I might be the only one in the country not on Steelers-Giants. Eli and the Giants in general bore me, whereas the likes of Peterson and Harvin are actually exciting, and I'm checking in on how Russell Wilson is getting on. Also, Kam Chancellor is one of my favourite players in the league.

Basically when I was about 13 I got my first Madden game. Didn't know anything about any players or teams or whatever so when it asked which team you wanted as a default team, I shut my eyes and scrolled through and stopped randomly. I never really got into NFL until last season, although I did always watch the superbowl.

I kept the team as the team I supported and immediately regretted the decision when I started watching properly :D It was the Vikings, and now i think about it the reason I got them was almost certainly because they are last alphabetically and the team thing didn't scroll back through them when it reached the bottom.

Ahh fair enough, I do like the Vikings. Fun team to watch... take it you're going to the IS game next season?

Yeah I'm planning to, I'm not so sure about fun team to watch tbh :D Would think as a neutral they would be pretty boring. Basically run Peterson, run Peterson, run Peterson, run Harvin, throw Harvin. If in redzone throw Rudolph.

Can't fault your reasoning, definitely paying off so far. I love the Seahawks secondary, Chancellor and Thomas are probably the best safety pairing in the league for my money, and Richard Sherman went hugely unnoticed last year as a rookie at CB, under the shadow of Patrick Peterson who got a lot of hype due to his punt returns despite Sherman outplaying him significantly in actual coverage. You've almost convinced me to switch, but I tend to like to commit to games start to finish and really get into them, so I think I'll hang on for now.

Who do you support anyway, haven't seen you mention?

    Hahahaha that's brilliant!

Personally I fell in love with the Eagles after the miracle at the New Meadowlands. I had never actually picked a team but was really starting to like the Eagles in 2010 with Vick's redemption and the incredible explosiveness of the offense. Then I just remember watching that game and feeling gutted as the Eagles were getting spanked by the Giants, then they score 28 points in 7 minutes to win the game on a DeSean Jackson punt return, I was jumping around and going mental, and once I settled down I realised I'd found my team. And ever since then we've been thoroughly ****!

Giants-Steelers really has been terrible. May just follow suit and go to Vikings-Seahawks. I quite like the Seahawks, play as them on my career game on Madden. So much love for Marshawn Lynch.

It's mainly the explosiveness of Harvin and Peterson that gets me going :D Plus I have a Jared Allen mancrush.

Chancellor and Thomas are amazing but I have a mancrush on Kam. The Earl and the Chancellor :D Richard Sherman's "optimus prime" thing got on my titties a little while ago but he gave Brady a talking to, so fine by me. Peterson's much improved in coverage this year, too, in fairness.

I'm a Colts fan. Last year was painfully ugly but we're being rewarded this season, big time. It's a pity that so many people judge their opinions on players by QBR and ESPN, because Luck has been ridiculously amazing so far, as anyone who has actually watched him (baring the Jets game) will attest. Can't believe we're 5-3.

The battle between Luck and RG3 (and also Ryan Tannehill and Russell Wilson) to be the best Rookie QB has proved to be a very interesting sub-plot to the season so far. Most people I've asked say RG3 has it atm, but then Luck probably will become the best over time.

Peterson is amazing, as he is proving now against a good Seahawks D, Ponder however is not as he gets ****ing nailed as I'm typing

I also really like Lynch and the Seahawks because of his skittles addiction, Frasier and his love for grills

Sherman does certainly love his chatter. Fits the Seahawks under Carroll perfectly though, I think the phrase the media usually to describe him is 'rah-rah'. And Peterson has definitely come on this year I agree, I just thought it was very unfair last year when Sherman had a fantastic rookie year, but got so little credit compared to Peterson who was actually worse as a CB, but his incredible PR TDs just boosted him up.

And I agree that Luck has had a great year so far, being overshadowed by RGIII because of RGIII being the new Cam Newton in terms of hype, I also love the resurgeance of Reggie Wayne. People forgot about him as if he had dropped off the face of the earth or retired, just because for the first time in 7 or 8 seasons or whatever it was he came 40 yards short of a 1000 yards, but he's coming back strong baby!

I don't like Carroll mainly because of the whole USC cheating thing that he got away with by running away. He's made himself a very impressive D in Seattle though, so full respect for that. But yeah I agree - Peterson was a highlights player which got him more attention than Sherman.

The "highlights player" argument kind of suits Luck and Griffin, too. I've watched every snap of both QBs and while I give Griffin the slight edge currently, the way some people make it out is as if Griffin is already in Canton and Luck is a total bust, when it's far closer, as both QBs have been incredible. If it wasn't for Luck, this team would be 0-8, maybe 1-7. With him, it's 5-3, which is amazing. Reggie is an absolute legend though, we all thought he was gone too, because he was speaking of not renewing his contract last season. Re-signing him is arguably the biggest move we made in the off season, and he's been easily one of the best receivers in the NFL this season. Getting almost 1000 yards with Curtis motherfucking Painter hurling it at you is an achievement in itself!

Also, delighted to see Chuck Pagano (for those who don't know: Indy head coach, diagnosed with leukaemia earlier this season) was back in the ground today. Spoke to the team before and after the game which I'm sure was a great boost, so happy to see him recovering.
