Never liked the games againy Plymouth. In the Championship, I always felt that they were extremely negative in teir approach at St. Mary's but ultimately very, very difficult to break down. They have already beaten us this season and it is total folly to under-estimate this team even without Bradley Wright-Phillips. As pointed out, without the points deduction, Plymouth would not be in such trouble with their league position although the financial problems are something else.

In my opinion, Plymouth will need to be accorded respect. They will be fighting for their lives and coupled with our need for a victory to ensure promotion prior to the Walsall match, I can see this game being far from the push over that most are predicting here. Certainly, an away win is a very big ask and I cannot see a repeat of Saturday's performance. This is is difficult match with plenty at stake. I think it will end as a draw but wouldn't bet against a home win. We have a depleted squad and the last-minute win by Huddersfield will weigh heavy on us. As a Saints fan, I know that we never make things easy for ourselves and therefore think that it will all boil down to the 90 minutes next Saturday. I would love three points in the bag this afternoon as any fan would but I think this is a much harder match than most of the contributors here are suggesting.

    Ian .

    Good points you make .

    BUT

Argyle HAVE to win today to have any chance to avoid relegation .

if they get a draw they will be on 43 points , a win in the last game will give them 46 points .

Dagenham and Redbridge are already on 47 points in 21st place .

So they cannot settle for a draw , my point is they cannot afford to park the bus ( Early on anyway ) .

It will NOT be easy , but as I have said before they lost away to their bitter rivals on Saturday , will they be able to pick themselves up for this one only 48 hours later ?

    Bloody hell I'm nervous ..........

I supposed to be marking exam papers over this weekend and I struggled on Saturday depsite winning three nil! The paperwork will proably get parked at three o'clock. I agree with your comment that Plymouth must go for a win but I think nerves will get to the better of both sides. I don't expect it to be a good match - even for the standard of the recent Saints v Pilgrims matches!

Just wish people would stop posting as if we are already promoted!!!

Not many on here have said we are there yet but plenty with a lot of butterflies doing a lot of dancing. Asking for us to score a few is simply our way of asking for the team to win and to do it with a modicum of comfort to ease our fears and finally banish them.
