I probably couldnt name more than 3 drivers on the grid less worthy of a drive than Senna. He's had one good weekend all season (Hungary) and is being easily beaten by a crashing Maldonado who has cost himself atleast 50-60 points. That Williams in the right hands could have easily got podiums at the start of the year, maybe even some wins. He hasn't performed at all, and it's down to pressure. Bottas would easily be the better choice. Maldonado already has enough money to run the team and they need a quick and consistant driver.
I wont be to sad to see him go, but thats because I want to see Bottas and I think pastor has a lot more to give
Well first of all, you get rid of HRT, as they are complete ****. I'm not the hugest fan of back markers, and when you don't qualify for Australia 2 years in a row I find it to be a bit of a joke that they even compete in the same field of drivers as Caterham and Marussia let alone everyone else. Then I'd say Pic can go, hasn't really be able to compete with Glock (shocker there), but then after that its get harder to get rid of someone. I like Senna, and he does have family heritage going for him, but he is potentially someone that could go, especially considering the car Williams have had this year and the results that haven't come because he hasn't driven particularly well.
Seriously? I think Pic has been doing better than Glock, Glock fluked his result in Singapore, and if Kovalainen had some luck, he'd have scored that race. Glock was moaning at the team for allowing Pic to race him in Spa. Pic is definately the best of the "Virgin number 2 drivers" in the last 3 years, and I believe he deserves a spot on the grid.
well I have to say Bruno's was a great recovery today, he was pretty much a punching bag for other drivers. It would be a shame if he's not there next year, who knows if he sorts out his qualifying...
losing FP1 every race isn't helping him either, drives well enough, as for worst drivers, PDLR, Karth, Grosjean, Schumacher and Massa are five drivers who've performed worst than him IMO.
Maybe I was being a bit harsh with that bit, I'd say Pic has done an all right job actually and has been loads better than the last 2 who filled that "Number 2 driver" slot at Virgin
Pretty much. I've been looking for updates. Looks like his Force india chances have vanished in the last few days so its Lotus: Grosjean FI: Sutil Caterham: Petrov Three amazingly uninspiring choices. Bruno will probably be off to DTM. Sad, but he missed his big chance this year i would say.
Actually I asked Joe Saward about Sutil's rumors gathering pace and he says he doesn't make much of this information. But, yes, I agree, its close to over
Things are still better than they were at the end of 2010 at least. Any word on what he will do if he is without a drive. Will he search for a 2014 seat or give up and find a more stable career elsewhere?
Well he did test for DTM a few days ago, so may that's his option. 4-5 days ago, autosport said he was still confident about his chances, but now the rumors have died down, so lets see.
