Very Bright prospect, I have to admit I predicted him to be shifted on last season as he wasn't get anywhere.

Now he's made a name for himself and has made a bright start. This is sure to put other smaller clubs on alert as he could be available for a small amount.

Although, if we were to get an offer for say £5m, would you accept it? Considering how many CMs we have and the size of the fee for a player who's made 11 appearances since 2008.

I'll admit I thought he'd never be able to make it at Liverpool. However on recent games he has shown that with a bit of confidence, he can cut it.

I think we should keep him and see how he develops. Definately earnt a chance.

He's been given a chance under Dalglish because Gerrard got injured and he's taken it and put in some excellent performances. I say keep him. :emoticon-0100-smile

I don't think he would be available for a small amount.

And for 5 million no way should we sell him. He is a perfect player to have in the squad. Gets stuck in, chases everything, great tackler, fierce shot etc..

I cannot see us even trying to sell him, or loan him out, he's doing just fine as he is.

Would be a mistake to get rid. There are plenty of other players that should be shown the door this summer though.

Football revolves around taking chances that you're given and proving your ability. Something which Spearing has done this season. It's very hard to prove what a player you are if you're a bench warmer. I'm sure Kenny will be getting rid of the players whom aren't happy sitting on the bench during games. Just to mention names, the likes of Poulsen and Jovanovic might be shown the door in the Summer. Which will give Spearing more opportunities to maintain a starting line-up position.

Why are we talking about getting rid of a player who has started the last 5-6 games? Kenny is not going to let him go, he wants players like spearing in the squad. Came through the academy, Liverpool through and through, and he is playing! Why would he sell a player he is playing? He has done well and for me he also let's Lucas get up a bit more and those who knew of Lucas back in his Gremio days know he was quite good as an AM type of midfielder.

I'm not talking about selling him at all, I'd love him to stay. I'm just saying if a (relatively) large offer were to come in for him, would we let him go? Considering he has only just started breaking out. Personally I'd keep him for anything less than 15-16m (because that is what he could be worth to us, not anybody else), I was just wondering what others thought on the subject.

I heard Newcastle wanted him as part of the Enrique deal.

Comolli should tell them they can have him for £35m.

I think he looks a good player, I would not let him go at the moment as I think he has a good future.

We had Spearing on loan last season and he did very well for us at a difficult time we had lost 4 on the bounce and Spearing came in and we won the next 5 out of 6. Spearing has great battling qualitys and gets around the pitch alot. He stood up most when we had 10 men against Watford, he broke down every attack they made and even scored a goal

You should keep him as he could make a very good player to have in your team

No worries Ze, I just think it is kind of a why are we talking about this type of response I was gunning for. He has proved very useful and the more of the local lads we have the better as that always helps a team tick better. I can very well see Jay ripping into someone for not giving their all in a Liverpool shirt a la Carra in the near future!

    Cheers ProudFox

When you going to sort yourselves out and get back in the Permier League again? Been a while since we played. Always thought we struggled in those matches.

Never liked playing Leicester. No matter how bad they were (or how good we were for that matter) they always seemed to beat us. Proper bogey team.
