Sorry chaps I've been trying to muster a reply to a few of you PO10, HR, LT86 etc., but after a sleepless night and morning of much stress and driving around Hampshire, when I sat down to watch the football and relax on my computer, it decided to die on me and so I have been reduced to trying to use a useless 10 inch netbook which seems to have great issue with vBulletin particularly quoting and the quick reply box. Because of this I tried to write out replies to you but struggled to get anything intelligble out of my frazzled mind and into my finger tips which press about 3 keys at once on this midget netbook. Hopefully will sort out a new laptop quick time and will revisit this when I do because this is certainly an interesting discussion.
After this weekend results a worrying gap is starting to show if we have a bad November we could be in a bad place ,if no wins I think Cortese will sack Adkins
Optimism and reality are sadly often the opposite to each other ,I'm forever an optimist but just got this gut feeling we are not good enough to stay up and because of Adkins inexperience not sure he can attract the top quality we need , will only be too pleased to eat my words and admit I was wrong so time will be the judge
I've just decided that we will win seven and draw two of the next ten games. Starting by winning the next five
If you are correct (and I hope you are) I think everyone on here will buy you a large drink...(or have you already had one).
Playing so many top teams when we are struggling to get to grips with the PL may prove to be the death knell for us. We still have to play the lower sides, but with a team low on confidence. One more win at the beginning of the season could have made all the difference. The gap is there, though not insurmountable,...we need a couple of wins and quickly. Not looking forward to today at all.
Ha, not on the sauce but I think my brain had been fried by this incredibly boring essay. I'm not even too worried about tonight, WBA are a good side, but the next four after that, oh man we could use some wins.
We need something from tonight, but I suppose a loss would not worsen our position apart from on GD. I really hate not playing on the same day as the others...I'm sure pressure mounts based on earlier results. We have to win against the lower sides...dreaded 6 pointers will be coming up soon. The loss against WHU was a blow...just glad Reading/QPR was a draw (though difficult to judge what is a good or bad result until the end of the season.
Some teams, though (West Ham, Arsenal, perhaps?), are in the top 9 due to having played and battered us! EDIT: Sorry, just read the full thread and seen someone already mentioned this possibility.
