  1. We need some steal and fight in the middle, we need Lucas back! Pepe too, he would have saved that shot!

A houlier or rafa team might not have been as pretty as this team, but we sure would have dug in and ground out more points.

Looks like we're gonna let another chance to gain some ground on the likes of Arsenal, Everton and Spurs go amiss. With Chelsea to play next week too, it's not looking good.

José Enrique needs to grow his hair. I keep thinking we are still playing Paul Konchesky at left back.

When was that statue erected in midfield? It looks so much like Steven Gerrard...nice gesture to a former great though.

I'm all for BR changing the way we play, implementing his style and I think give it a couple of years and a few transfer windows and it'll be excellent with a few of the youngester coming through.... however is it a case of him trying to change everything too quickly?

We've gone from a team creating lots and not putting them away, being solid at the back and playing ok football to a team creating lots, not putting them away, now conceding sloppy goals (normally when the opponent has only had 1 chance) but playing nice passing football.

I see Tim Krul is time wasting already. Did the same thing against us at the Emirates last season, ****ing ref needs to book him.

Hence my over use of the word bloody Rev lol....

I'll defend Suarez to the hilt, and none of this "not a natural goal scorer ****e" but he has to start trusting those around him whether they miss or not. When he gets the ball in the final third after the rest have made 2-3 runs that he ignores they just stop bothering. Now it's not the right attitude but u don't blame them.

He is making our attack predictable:

Lots of quick passing high pressure football in midfield: he gets the ball brilliant turn, run, run, run, shoots wide or loses ball. Waste of that possession.

Worse when the other attackers like Sterling/Suso get the ball they say to themselves "this is my only chance if scoring, so I'll do the same"!!!!

Just so frustrating. And if MFG comes in and tries to do his blast of Brendan we were the same with ****ing Dalglish.

Don't even have good options on the bench.

I've tried to be positive all season, but we find ourselves in this position so many times, I almost expect it when we play now. If we turn it up a notch in the second half we can come back, but I don't see Newcastle playing as bad, and they look pretty solid.

Awful first half of the first half, but we have looked much better the 2nd. Great goal as well.

Krul will be booked for time wasting soon I reckon, wish he wouldn't take so long.

3 Suarez 'shots' of note in the first half.

He is. But some of it is not from a dead ball situation. If he is waiting and taking his time to clear from a back pass, which he is doing quite a lot, there is nothing the ref can do. <ok>

  20. I don't think we need to 'turn it up', we are playing well, we just need to put the onion in the bag more (as we all know too well). Allen needs to start finding his man with those passes though, the main reason he is in the side is to maintain possession, what use is he if he's giving the ball away!!!
