The team really need a kick up the backside after that hopeless performance yesterday, changes are needed and Powell really needs to look at certain players and decide whether they're good enough to play in the Charlton shirt.

Personally really struggling to think of a starting XI who could do a job for us considering our injury problems but I'll give it a go:
(assuming Evina and Wilson are injured):

    ----------Hamer------------
    Solly---Cort---Morrison---Fox
    ----------Dervite------------
    Green--Stephens--Pritchard--Harriott
    ------------BWP---------

(Button, Taylor, Hollands, Cook, Bover, Hulse, Haynes)

Bring on Haynes for one of the midfielders and switch to a 4-4-2 for the last 15 if needs be, and if we're really chasing the game, bring on Hulse too and hope he can actually do something (4-3-3)

I confess to never having seen Fox play a game, but he can't be a worse full back than Kerkar and surely has more pace and hunger than Jackson.

I don't like BWP playing upfront on his own, but I've been far from impressed with Hulse, and think that if we can keep the ball on the floor, a 5-man midfield could help us maintain possession and dominate the game, whilst the creative spark of Green and (when he's in the mood) Stephens, plus the pace of Harriott and energy of Pritchard could make for a bloody exciting game and plenty of chances. Have Pritchard get forward as much as he can in order to distract the opposition defence whilst Stephens lay's off as many through balls to BWP as he can muster.

    God this is desperate...

How can you decide to pick Fox when you have never seen him play?

    Solly,Taylor,Morrison,Kerkar
    Green,Stephens,Dervite,Hollands,Jackson
    Hulse

    hamer
    solly morro cort jacko
    green hollands dervitte pritch kerkar
    hulse

thats on the assumption evina, wilson are injured.

with our best players out we need to start grinding out draws at home just so we dont become cut off at the bottom of the league. i'd rather not play jacko as left back, but he's done it before and will help kerkar.

stephens not in the team till he's been told that we pay him x amount of thousands to pass accurately, to tackle with intent and to break up play. you wouldnt accept a plumber half fixing a leak or a electrician half rewiring you house. his job needs to be done, no point just being the luxury player who floats in and out of the game cos we cant afford that. shelvey was a bit like that.

Same team as WWOCB but with Hulse or Haynes starting instead of BWP.

Yes we do need Waggy back to be available to run his socks off. Pritchard must not play right mid field however many times he raises his hand and says please sir may I!

I think that is the team CP will play unless there are more minor injuries we don't know about. Not sure how long both Hulse and BWP will last after a lot of fruitless chasing around on Saturday, so we may see Haynes and Cook on earlier than usual.

I don't think either Jackson or Green deserve to start but we are scraping the bottom of the barrel. I would be delighted if they prove me wrong with decent performances.

Other possibiity is Smith on the bench (instead of Bover) as cover for Hulse and he would probably get at least 20 minutes. Problem with that is he is not long back from an injury himself and has not had the chance to impress in reserve games.

Yes, just noticed that. The fact that they have let him go now, and not even to a Football League club, when we have Fuller and Kermorgant out long-term, suggests he is nowhere near consideration for the first team. Seems to have gone backwards since that excellent display against Sporting pre-season. :(

For me, if we are struggling to take our chances and are leaking goals, we have to nick one and park the bus for confidence sake particularly against Cardiff.

    Hamer

    Solly Cort Morrison Jackson

    Green Stephens Hollands Pritchard Kerkar

    Hulse

he has been coming back from an injury and is now getting back to his old form, so I reckon a month on loan is to get him back to match fitness a bit quicker

Looking forward to visiting South London tomorrow night. Our away form isnt great, but Noone in good form, Whitts outstanding as usual and Young Mason up top should be to much for you guys to handle, should be a good game but i think we will beat you comfortably.

On our recent home form you should beat us comfortably, but this may well be the night our luck changes. Anyway I hope you enjoy your night in Sarf London.

Contrary to what a lot of people would say, I think this is the best time to be playing Cardiff :)

Hopefully it won't be as comfortable as you predict ISRMS ;)

    Enjoy your night!
