I always do!...my cash will be made in the bumper and the 1.45. Missed the last quiz..time for a butchers..
Think that Weld horse is a bit of a monkey...definitely dossed in front...great run from grandeur...doesn't count on the BC tally but one on the board.
Its oval racing where it is about position and speed. They wouldnt get within 5 lengths of our mile+ racers in European venues. Breeders Cup is entertainment. Would like to see it run like a Ryder Cup with the venue switching each year or two between continents. Two 2nds in the marathon and with the NAP so a touch unlucky not to collect one.
Just got in from a night out and feeling a bit pissed. Had a quick look at the Breeders Cup (recorded). Big fan of Buick but looked some way out as though he had The Fugue well and truly trapped. Not impressed. She looked capable of winning that and at 12f probably would have.
Agreed Ron...but you still get a return if you backed her Tote Place....or Show as the Americans call it !
Have to agree with RV, it's all about position over there. especially on turf. Why do they make their tracks so tight? Won't stop me betting tonight but will certainly look for more value. The European turf horses all look far superior, it's a shame the same can also be said about the American jockeys. Our ones continually want to hug the rail and wait for a never appearing gap. You would think they could learn after a couple of races.
The stats say otherwise. Frankie Dettori has ridden 10 BC winners. Only Mike Smith with 15 and Garrett Gomez (up to 14 after last night) have ridden more. Ryan Moore, Kieran Fallon, Jamie Spencer, Olivier Pelier and even Joseph O'Brien have all tasted BC success.
fair enough but as i said they are on the better horses on turf. i stand by my argument that european jockeys are inferior on american tracks.
You may be right. Don't think Buick did a lot wrong last night though. If the horse is good enough, the gaps usually come. The Fugue had her chance to get off the rail, but the winner beat her for toe imo.
What sort of name is Groupie Doll for a breeders cup winning Fiily? i don't think Sir Barney will be liking that one.
Good man RV. You seen the Smad Place race yet? Patently failed to stay for me ............... what do you reckon? Great to see Tidal Bay win though. SC pissed the Charlie Hall like you said he would
Turbulent Descent here. Watched a replay earlier on very disappointed. He is defs a good horse though. Didn't look to get home today but he stayed on well at Cheltenham - confused Haaa.
