Turgid display - we looked tired and lifeless. Mata much missed. We also need an out an out striker - I cannot be doing with Torres; absolutely ****ing dreadful today, totally anonymous.
RDM of last season reappered, once he brought on Bertrand for Oscar the game was lost. Infuriating. Just a week ago we were going to go 7 clear of United and now we're a point behind. City will win, I can't see us competing without a proper striker. As **** as United are and as badly as City are playing if you've got top strikers you always have a chance. What we've established today is that this Chelsea team (much like Arsenal of old) can't play badly and win.
Torres is useless. Sturridge isn't much better but I'd definitely start playing him. Loaning Lukaku actually is looking like a bit of a blunder, seems to be our most inform striker. Cole had a poor game, but incidentally, Ivan - Cahill did not look too bad. Romeu and Mikel will never work, and Romeu won't displace Mikel, so we won't be seeing much of him anymore. Anyway, not a great game, but onwards and upwards. Must win games coming up.
The striker issue is becoming critical now - definitely our Achilles Heel. It's been a long time since we've had such a woeful lack of firepower up front. Torres is the proverbial startled rabbit when he gets the ball; he is a total embarrassment to the club. Sturridge is not top drawer; he'd fit into mid to lower table team just fine. Roman needs to break into his Piggy Bank again! Shaktar is worrying me!
Makes me sick to think by the time we kick off against Liverpool a week Sunday we'll be 4 points behind United when we should have been 7 ahead, Clattenburg a massive turning point as Foy was last season. Credit to Swansea, deserved point
My wife loved Shev's "cute" arse - couldn't see it myself mind! Just dropping that in conversationally. I thought we had peaked with our ability to sign once great now faded players when AS arrived - pales into insignificance with FT's signing. Apart from being tomtit he just does not look happy playing for our club. He looks like a dead man walking - shame really; he was a mighty fine player in his pomp.
Well we kept your boy Torres quiet, took the game to you, just to see how good these Euro Champions are, and but for a Chelsea Pensioner of a ref could have won it! That's footy for you, had us down for a draw, fair result I suppose, see you at your place next time!..............
Not exactly difficult my friend. A draw was a fair result but please don't get carried away - it'll be much tougher at our place. You got the draw because by your standards you were ok and by ours we were *hite. And WTF the Ref' did to stop you winning is beyond me. Seriously, well done you; but don't get over-excited.
