I think I made it clear that I agree it may have been spent on the wrong players, if not please take this statement as confirmation that this is a possibility. Back to my question though, how much money do you think there is, this isn't a computer game where you get to turn it off and start again if you buy the wrong player or spend too much - we are where we are, have spent £30m on transfers, increased our wage bill and redeveloping the training ground - how much more money do you think there is available from this years tv and league money?

No. Did both of those end up in the Premier League following back to back promotions? The best example you could have looked at there was Norwich - did they have any bad spells last season - Yes. Did they bring in a number of new players - Yes.
The nature of the squad that the team has. For example we were reduced to a league one squad following the administration and started to build our way back up to a good championship squad last season - and I think pound for pound we punched above our weight last year. That is always going to make the adjustment to two quick steps more difficult than building your way there over a period of say four years, of course some of your best players may move on, it the overall depth of the squad should be stronger. West Ham didn't have the problems we did, they under performed in the championship last year for the quality of players they had i.e. most had PL experience. It was, in my opinion, always going o be easier for them to adjust to the PL thank it was for us. The above is all opinion, of course, but you did ask!
