Unless there is a great turn around in the new year, I can't see you surviving. That may not necessarily be a bad thing for you. Unlike us, when we went down, you are financially stable and the parachute payments will give you the clout to strengthen for promotion next season. I think you'll be the bookies' favourites for the Championship title.

Spent in the wrong places? I thought all our transfers were rubbish. Changed your time Mr Big?

We needed a GK: signed one. We needed a RB: signed one. We needed an experienced CM: signed one. We needed a CB: signed one. I think we needed two, but hey we got one.

We probably needed a LB and didn't get one. We got a bonus, with a quality play maker.

We needed top quality , we are missing two quality centre backs , one quality left back and a commanding premiership keeper who is reliable .
But we have been there before , would swop that and some for Ramirez and thats the truth .

Name the players, the value we should have spent and the likely wages then.

Oh Jesus wept this again , I have named them before but that again is my opinion and makes no difference , we should of bought better and failure to do so is a failure as we have not achieved that .

    I would of gone for
    Butland
    Buttner
    Bassong
    Davies
    Dawson
    Bridge

I have to say I have been pulled by the mods for repetition but I keep getting pulled into the same discussions .

    * SHOULD HAVE
    ** WOULD HAVE

Bridge? You having a bubble? The guy would get ravaged just as much as Fox. He's currently performing averagely in an average Championship side.
Buttner is young and prone to mistakes, is very naive defensively and was wanted by United.
Butland would have cost tonnes, and is no better than Gazzaniga.
Your three CB choices are fair, I must admit.

I think I made it clear that I agree it may have been spent on the wrong players, if not please take this statement as confirmation that this is a possibility.

Back to my question though, how much money do you think there is, this isn't a computer game where you get to turn it off and start again if you buy the wrong player or spend too much - we are where we are, have spent £30m on transfers, increased our wage bill and redeveloping the training ground - how much more money do you think there is available from this years tv and league money?

We only keeop asking because you keep going on about the same ****. How many times has the above been explained to you? Daily probably. You are just an aggravating, annoying man. I can't be arsed with you anymore, which will probably mean that I'll not bother so much with the forum as every bleeding time I hit a thread you are there, chirping on in the same petty, poorly worded, aggravating style about the same old ****. Call yourself a supporter... bollox.

You can think I am stupid if you wish - I'll keep my counsel on you and let others form their own opinions. I asked the question because I don't know either - but I'm not the one bleating on that they have to spend a lot more am I.
You have very nicely confirmed my point for me.

Your posts remind me of a quote I once read.

Well I suggest you also question the sky sports panel as they were saying similar things at about 30 past 12 this afternoon , maybe you think I don't know anything about football and I can accept that , but do you know more than them ?

It is the easiest thing in the world to say throw money at the problem, I go back to my original point have we got the money because I sure as hell don't know.

Not really sure what your point is on this - I'm not suggesting we do throw more money at it. But I'll humour you to see where you are going with it.

No. Did both of those end up in the Premier League following back to back promotions?
The best example you could have looked at there was Norwich - did they have any bad spells last season - Yes. Did they bring in a number of new players - Yes.

The nature of the squad that the team has. For example we were reduced to a league one squad following the administration and started to build our way back up to a good championship squad last season - and I think pound for pound we punched above our weight last year. That is always going to make the adjustment to two quick steps more difficult than building your way there over a period of say four years, of course some of your best players may move on, it the overall depth of the squad should be stronger. West Ham didn't have the problems we did, they under performed in the championship last year for the quality of players they had i.e. most had PL experience. It was, in my opinion, always going o be easier for them to adjust to the PL thank it was for us.

The above is all opinion, of course, but you did ask!
