Well done to Norwich............it's yet another away game without getting anything. It seems that both Walters and Jones had chances they should have taken but didn't....... same old story. Can't score = Can't win. We are on 9 pts with Villa and Sunderland, only QPR, Saints and Reading below us!! Who is to blame?

KJ was a pain when he came on, I was getting quite worried that he would nick a late equalizer. Overall I thought we were marginally the better side although both teams gave the ball away too easily a lot of the time. On-wards and upwards, good luck for the season, until we meet again Potters <ok>

At least there is a decent gap beneath us both. The bottom three look well cast adrift.

Let's see where you are when we meet in the league next year. Personally I think you'll be okay but with perhaps one or two twitchy bums along the way (for both of us).

Well done Norwich City and good luck for the season..

    Here goes..
I've just listened to the full game on radio, then the CLUELESS man's comments re Pulis.

Just ONE question.. Did HE see the same game I have just had to listen TO?

He said " We did enough to win that game" ?

We battered Norwich for most of the game?

NO we did'nt TONY. I a never thought I would say this but.. I am so pleased I will miss the next 3 home games because of a much needed holiday.

The bonus.. I won't have to sit through hours of watching negative boring going nowhere without wingers and listen to that feckin idiot of a Manager try and explain WHY we LOST. Any other Manager given our results the last few months would be "SACKED" We DO have some good player's, it's a crying shame that PULIS does not see it. Pennant? Etherington? Jerome? I'm well and truly hacked off right now, more so when I heard what PULIS actually said afterwards.. Please GO now before the Stoke fans start asking for you to do just that... Because I WILL.

    Rant over.

This was the type of game we had to get something from (and as per my comments on the Everton thread), we set up negative with no natural width!

Although Kightly wasn't great (Walters was just as bad) yet the 1st sub is the negative like for like as opposed to taking Walters off an then getting Ethington on the other wing giving more width and balance. Walters is the subbed for KJ - a game which was crying out for the pace of Jerome - and yet we only have 1 winger for crosses and two of the biggest target men in the league???? Ahhhh - our best wide man is on loan at Wolves!!! This is probably why we only gained 1 corner all game - given that set plays are what TP plays for this is embarrassing!

To add salt into the wounds KJ played deep and Crouch was the target -KY officially has the worst touch known to man unless he is using his head!

So for the second game running against beatable competition we have failed to score, playing no width and accommodating players whilst better talent sits on the bench or sent on loan! But we are playing better football I hear Some say!!! Ahhh but TP reverted to 2 target men to bully a result - Leopard = Spots = not a funking clue!

You can rely in Nick for consistency and common sense!

In addition to my vagueness on another thread re wins - we are now 5 wins in 36 games - that's almost a full season! Bruce went on 4 from 21 and Norwich and Villa were viewed as managers and teams under pressure - they are both above us!

Pulis needs to stop worrying about refs decisions and start worrying about why we cant score, or even create a decent amount of chances in a match. Also where has our strength from set plays gone? we've conceded a few already this season which is very disappointing.

    Like I said above,
Clueless needs to start saying it how it actually is. Not how he thinks it should be. The usual txt from my trusted fellow stokie's after the game quote.

We We're OK once Ehter's and Jones came on end of quote. Well hey feckin ho Tony, all you just did on SS News was complain about ONE FOUL which apparently was'nt a foul. The FACT is TP the ref gave it and even Ryan said " We should have defended it better" he also said "I think the lino gave it" Either way that does not detract from the FACT has Smither's has pointed out. HOW many WINS in HOW many games is it? He doe'nt even have the balls to say "That was not good enough and I am wrong"

Right now I would take Steve Bruce of Pulis, the sooner the guy does go the sooner we will start to play some (football with + 2 wingers) until we do we ain't going anywhere but backwards.. Roll on Maderia <laugh> NO TV, NO footie to listen too, best of all NO whinging Pulis to annoy me!

Quite surprised to see Stoke fans openly having a go at Pulis ?
My personal veiw of the guy is he's a prat of the highest order, how every week when interveiwed he can keep having a go at the refs decisions without being punished is beyond me !
I know every manager see's through rose tinted spec's , but Pulis just is pure sour grapes when a mike is thrust in front of him.
His coments after the match today were laughable and verging on desperate ?
I know the style of direct football Stoke play has brought them success over the past few years, but if Norwich ever went down the road of playing that style i for one would not be attending match's, my neck is still aching from today !

I will look out for the results but tv is iffy over there and tinternet might not be the best.. so I'll be relaxing with a few beers and just take a looksee around 5 ish.

Apart from the Newcastle game, is a Wednesday? I'll problably be over the 8 and not give a toss mate.

And It's fine the Norwich fans coming on here saying we we're CRAP today. But my mates whe we're there said. Defo no free kick for the goal and that Norwich we're not that great. That said, I wish you all the best, if what I've heard from them the last few hours is true, we BOTH need it this season. With bells on.

We never play well against teams that take the direct approach but having said that you do have some decent players just not used in the correct way. I watched the game and ugly was an understatement. We deserved to win by more than one. We have been playing well, beat Arsenal and Spurs (with effectively our second team) and very unlucky not to have beaten Villa away.
The drivel that came out of TP's mouth after the game was laughable. TP has been there a long time, like an unwanted illness, it will take a lot for you to get rid of him. Good luck for the rest of the season, you will need it.
