Pleased for the guy. Just a shame that either him or us weren't content with using him as a bit part player this season (though if it was his choice to go out on loan, rather than sit on the fringes, then it's fair enough).
I think he was told he's way down the pecking order, so it's fair enough really. He can only play centrally and we only play one central striker so he would have really struggled to get ahead of Lambert, Rodriguez and Guly for that position. He's a very good goalscorer at championship level but he doesn't contribute enough in other areas really. He did say it didn't look it from the stands, he obviously hasn't seen it back.
On a yellow card, and having just committed another foul, I'd suggest that Britton is one more foul away from missing our game next weekend. And then there Michu still just one yellow away from a ban.
On the upside though, it is at least Stoke and Sunderland who Norwich and Villa are beating. Both quite boring, dour sides who can't buy a goal or a win. Both finished last season poorly I think, and both have just one win each so far this season. Neither can be ruled out of the relegation battle. (1 win in 15 league games for Sunderland I think, that is very poor).
Sunderland are really struggling for goals. Honestly didn't see that coming at the start of the season.
BBC said they'd had 12 shots on target all season so far before today. I haven't verified that, but if true, then wow.
Its obvious other sides are going to pick up good results here and there, we cant expect teams to be more sh!te than us so we have to get things going ourselves and get some good results. Table doesn't lie.
We beat Villa 4-1. Sunderland lose 1-0. Sunderland relegation material? Yes. If you can't score, you're going down.
