why are people surprised at Defoe going off? he has contributed nothing. It was either him or Dempsey who has also done nothing.
We've lost so much quality in the last 12 months. We don't only miss Modric and VDV (and Adebayor) but even Pav, Krancjar, Corluka for God's sake! I look at that team and am terrified of losing Bale. We would be dangerously close to being a very average team if that happened.
Well we've looked better since the sub, but it's hard to tell how much of that is down to Wigan dropping back.

Looks like today is our annual loss at home against a relegation threatened team. Trying to look on the positive we have played pretty poorly with half our team injured for most of the season and are still in 4th. It's just games like this where we could really cement our place in 4th we blow it. Lets be realistic there's no way in a million years we will finish higher than Chelsea, City or United and we shouldn't expect to.

Well my main problem with Defoe is his lack of adding much to the game in general but when you need a goal...
I think we can beat Arsenal but we need our players back. We have hardly clicked going forward in any home match. We do away more as we can break on teams and with our pace we are very dangerous. Here's hoping for a repeat of the QPR match but it looks unlikely!!
