Does anyone still have deluded hopes of wining the title? LOL at all the nonsense title contenders talk that was happening a few weeks ago, sadly, too many Arsenal fans are turning into Spurs fans, 1-2 good results and they suddenly think we're the greatest club on earth, f--k off. Once again, fans like me, are being proven right, and trust me, I don't like to be right, I'd love to be wrong with an egg on my face, not going to happen though with this sh!t squad and a manager like Wenger who persistently refuses to correct his failures.
I think it's obvious we won't win the league now, but we'll still finish top 4. Spurs are currently making a meal of a home game against Wigan, so we should beat them.
So we can **** off for being optimistic about the team. And you may claim to not be happy about you being not happy but your post contrast this. I still think that if we can pick up our game and invest in Januray we can challenge (probably not win) for the title. ATM it's still only 9 points. And I do think Arsenal Football Club is the greatest team on earth. I wouldn't be supporting them if I didn't.
And that's all we're ever going to do, finishing top 4. And quite frankly, I could give a flying f--k about Spurs, what matters is Arsenal, and right now, it's not good enough from Arsenal, and hasn't been for years.
All we have to do is keep our chins up until 2014/15. Thats when our new sponsorship deals come in, and we can compete financially with our rivals.
Speaking of Swansea we need to take a look about how they are playing. Pass and move high tempo stuff. I know Arsenal are capable of that, even this season. We just need to refined that early season form.
Yes, blind optimism sucks dick, we mock the Spurs fans when they do it, so why should we accept it when we do it???????? Arsenal fans going on about wining the league or wining this and that are no different to deluded Spurs fans going on about a power shift and going on to become a dominant team. At the end of the day, I'm being a realist, I'm not saying we're complete sh!t, but we're not elite quality, and we're not going to be winning the major trophies any time soon unless there's drastic changes, but that's what we been saying for years. Instead the change we say is selling our best striker to a rival, who ends up scoring against us, lol.
lol, when we moved to the Emirates, they were telling us now we can compete financially with the other big teams.
Yeah, in the long run. Not sure if you've noticed, but building a stadium costs money. Once it's paid off, we'll be rolling in dosh.
Blind optimism? 9 points off the top with 28 games left, defo achievable though we do need to step it up and invest. If you don't care about Spurs then stop bringing them up.
Manchester United (Valencia & Young) Chelsea (Hazard & Mata) Manchester City (Aguero/Silva/Nasri) Spurs (Bale & Lennon) Its essential when playing a 4-2-3-1 that you have pace and trickery on the wings, unfortunately until Wenger understands that if defenders aren't scared of players on the wings running behind or beating them for pace, then sorry folks its looking grimm
Not just the points, the performances we have seen aren't good enough either, the performances against Norwich, Chelsea, United, and even others like Sunderland at home, you have to be kidding yourself if you think we're title contenders with the rubbish performances we have been putting in.
