Isnt the rule if you can't get back on your own power you get a penalty? And if it's any mechanical then surely its a penalty for changing it? Knowing the FIA he won't get any penalty of any kind though.

If I'm lucky dumb ass Renault can prove there is a mechanical problem with the car and he can change the engine for free without penalty. *fingers crossed*

Maldo will grant 2nd after Webber's terrible (but good for him) start. And hits Hamilton, that'll cause a pile up, hitting Vettel too. Alonso goes on to win the race and Vettel doesn't have the rights to go to Austin, loses the championship and cries. ;)

    I can dream.

Welcome to 2013 McLaren, you have the quickest car here and Button could only manage 6th!
If the stewards are consistent and if no mechanical problem can be proven, then Vettel should be starting from the back of the grid?

Amazing how that wasn't a 1-2 lockout for McLaren, Lewis just dominated it!

Watch out for Maldonado on the first lap - he is 12kph faster than Hamilton in a straight line, and 14.6kph faster than Webber (which will be even more when you account for double DRS).

Don't believe so. . If his car has an issue he'll only be penalized if they have to change engine/gearbox of if he has less than a litre of fuel. I think.

First on Vettel, if theres an engine issue he'll take a ten place grid penalty for a new engine? If there's no mechanical issue then he will be disqualified from qualifying even if he has more than 1 litre of fuel? That's what happened to Hamilton.

As for the fastest cars, the best sector times for each team are:

    McLaren - 1.40.596 (Hamilton 1:40.630)
    Red Bull - 1.40.948 (Vettel 1:41.073)
    Lotus - 1.41.150 (Raikkonen 1:41.260)
    Williams - 1.41.226 (Maldonado 1:41.226)
    Ferrari - 1.41.363 (Alonso 1:41.582)

The race doesn't look so good for Red Bull, 23rd and 24th on the straights and no clear track for them this time. If Vettel starts from the back, he will find it hard to overtake the likes of Senna and Perez.
