Fulham are on 499 Premier League goals. Who do you think will get the 500th (hopefully today)? My 5p is on Damien Duff (luck of the Irish). Although, wasn't it our full back (Voltzy) who got the Premier League 50,000 (or some such milestone number)?
Cottager, it was 15,000 Volz. I like your Duff idea, but would ideally like it to be Chris Baird. However, my money is on Berbatov. C O Y W
At the game I was convinced it was Bryan's and having seen it again have to admit it's open to debate. See what you think in this video clip - http://www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/xutb4x
I can't see the logic for it being an OG. The ball was on target, Howard tried to push it away but failed. How is that any different from any other failed save? The goal belongs to Ruiz.
Does it count as one continuous shot though? I mean say Howard saved it onto the post and it came to the edge of the six yard box then rebounded off Jagielka's back into the goal. Would it be Bryan Ruiz's goal then?
Having rewatched it, it does go in off Howard's back. I retract my comments. However in these cases, I feel the goal should always go to the attacker. It's not like Howard will want the own goal!
