Hughes: QPR can’t afford former Blackburn man

QPR manager Mark Hughes has revealed that the club are unlikely to be able to afford to sign Anzhi’s Chris Samba
    ..
The R’s were linked with a move for the former Blackburn man last January but he elected to move to Russia instead.

But the west Londoners have been linked with the defender again and the Welshman believes that the money the Russian side pay him prices him out of the market.

“I haven’t seen [the rumour] to be honest,” Hughes said. “I don’t like talking about players at other clubs.”

“He’s at a club where he’s paid substantial amount of money to work hard for his club and that may take him out of the equation in terms of what we can work for.”

That's settled then. He is signing in January. Football managers and club owners are the worst at trying to disguise their true intentions. Experience has told me to believe the exact opposite of what they say. It will be sold to Anzio casttle truck muck muck willy or what ever they are called that we could have him on a 6-12 month loan with a view to purchase then paying a part of the wages. On the basis that if it works out we'll have got him performing and he can then return. And if not, they can off load him to us and cut their losses.

I don't think that's a wise criterion for our transfer policy. He's on £100k a week and cost £12m eight months ago. He's also 28.

From the Russian point of view, is the flaw to that plan that if it hasn't worked out for him with you then you won't want him permanently what ever the money is?
