How come you let him go? He is immense, and his crossing is out of this world!

Pleased he is doing well for you guys. He was good here when we had him on loan, but as soon as we made it permanent his performances dropped.
He was always a decent crosser but lacked the technical ability and skill to make it in the prem. he never scored for us either I don't think??
Is he playing as a wing back or a winger for you?

Both, but more so a wing back as that is the formation we have been playing. However, he has been much better when he has played wing back!

Watched a bit of your game last week & he did look decent, in fact in spells the whole team looked excellent.

He's only ever played top flight for us, either the loan will do him good and he'll come back better, or he's found his level & you can keep him!

I could never decide which position was his best, cause he was never great at tackling. Arsenal and various other clubs wanted him when we signed him, so I thought he'd be a coup for us. Unfortunately things never worked out.

What do you think of Brucey??

Very, very good to say the least. He is clearly the best manager we have ever had. Attacking wise he shows his experience. He certainly knows what he's doing. Also, he is very good in interviews, as opposed to Pearson and Barmby who were both very arrogant and always looked somewhere else. And most importantly, in his interviews, he is very honest and says it how it is, and when I have spoken to him, he seems a very nice bloke who will always stop and talk to you.

He is nothing more than a decent championship player at his best so has found a level he can be comfortable in.

In the big boys league he was worse than a chicken minus a head.

He is a nice enough bloke despite being a Geordie, he'd always chat to fans.
He's very good in the transfer market and can always spot a bargain, unfortunately his tactical nous used to let him down for us. He'd put round pegs in square holes and his substitutions used to baffle me at times aswell.
I'm suprised Elmo's not in goal for you ?

No offence meant mate but, Championship is about his level think PL is just a step too far. Glad he's doing the biz for you lot and wouldn't be surprised if Brucey got you promoted or play offs this year again I think that the Championship is his level as well.

Except for the fantastic jobs he did at both Wigan and Birmingham?

Yes he did great there didn't he winning many cups and flying up the league and into Europe or maybe not. Best finish for Wigan under Bruce 11th not that great really. Not sure how he did at Birmingham but, I'd say it wasn't much better 9th place finish maybe.
    Fantstic job done.

Isn't Martin O'Neil in round about the same position now as Brucey was last season when he got sacked? Maybe it is time to wave goodbye to Martin!

Not really mate but, if it stays the way it is he could be feeling the knives in his back. Think it's still too early to judge him yet Brucey had 2 and a half years with us and if I'm honest improved us slightly however, his decisions about loanees and very strange tactics, subs and team selection did for him.

After 2.5 years if we are still here maybe but the difference and gulf in class between the likes of Bruce (a championship manager at best) and MoN, a European UEFA Cup final runner-up, 3 league cup finals (winning twice) with Leicester and 3 consecutive top 6 finishes with Villa as a manager stand him way out front in the managerial stakes.

You enjoy your moment in the sun and Bruce may well have you in the play offs this year but come the big games, with **** loads riding on it and you will see the flapping and dithering that ultimately cost him a job here. He cant hack the big time management stakes. We had not improved more than a gnats tadger in 2.5 years under Bruce. After 2.5 years of a MoN reign we will see much improvement, once he can replace Bruces average buys with his own classier ones and off load the dross to other lower league clubs.....

    Oops, sorry about that.:bandit:

Now now lads play nice he was only asking as the typical Brucey decisions haven't surfaced yet and they seem more than happy with him at the minute and, to be fair good luck to them don't mind Hull at all.

<doh> One of the worst posts I've ever read. So he can get relegation fodder with hardly any money to finish in around around 10th position in the PREMIER LEAGUE (and he managed it with 2 clubs, not just one) and yet you say his level is the CHAMPIONSHIP?
I thought you were one of the more intelligent posters here, even you can surely see the stupidity in that post? Where are Wigan and Brum now may I ask?

EDIT: got you lot 10th in the league aswell I seem to remember <doh>

Looking Back with hindsight on Bruce he did make some good signings however he made some god awful ones and he couldn't build a team. That's where his downfall was.

Look at our squad now and he left us in a terrible position. No striker. No left wing, no full backs. We still need to address his mistakes. He loaned too many players and never built a team. He was too short term!!! In his last transfer window he signed 9 players and didn't know how to use them.

He lost the plot in the end with us. Don't beLIEve his bullshit about us wanting him out cos he was a Geordie either!
