I disagree, I commented on what I thought of SWP. Then you started with the insults (again).

Well, this is one that can certainly unite the board, as said the only sad thing is that this man does not seem to be a big head in any way, on the contrary thoroughly decent chap, however, play football he cannot as is the resounding result. So the question - Why does Hughes continue to play him? Surely he can see Hoilett running through seeing SWP in space and his only option but decided deliberately to hold up play to switch it left and avoid SWP!

Hughes had him play fairly decent at City, he keeps on playing him in the hope that he goes back to that and not play like a drunk sunday footballer.

Hed be an outcast if Hughes hadnt managed him before.

SWP can play if Hoilett, Park, Mackie, Dyer are injured.

Wotcha Swords. Good to see you back. Now explain yourself. I'm yet to read why anyone thinks he should not be dropped. You've never been afraid to court controversy. The floor is yours.

By the way, I'm definitely a Yes man. It's a no brainer. Perhaps if and when he scores in a Cup game he can have another go as the biggest problem is his lack of confidence. He looks like a man who knows or believes that he will never go past a player, will never find the right pass and will never score if he takes a shot. In some ways when he runs with the ball he is like a speeded up Jamie Mackie but the latter never gives up and is always willing to have a go even if it does not always work out.

I think you're mad. MH gave in to fan pressure to bring Taarabt back etc? And now you think we can manage the team by putting pressure on him?

Now up to 6 people who have shown they either haven't seen him play recently, or they know FcK all about football. A certain Irishman ticks both boxes <laugh>

Are you saying you think he's been good lately? I for one think he's had some decent games but he doesn't have the killer instinct and doesn't warrant a place over other players. May be useful as a substitute against tired defences but I'd rather use Mackie for that. In fact, Mackie has the exact quality that SWP needs: balls.

But he's been ok in recent times.

Whassup Yorkie. 'Ows that Puddin' tastin' oop there these days?

Right now, at this very moment, I say leave him in. All last season I've been among his biggest critics and this season too (insofar as I've been able to post). My reasoning is this: In the last few games (yes North, I've seen them!), I think he's actually done quite well. I couldnae understand the sh*t he was getting on here after the West Ham game/farce. IMO he was our best/only player in the first half.

At West Brom he was no worse than most of the other players. He didn't play against Everton but at Arsenal I thought he was very good first half and dreadful second. That boils down to an overall score of 50/50 in the last few games he's played IMO.

Should Mackie start ahead of him? Possibly. But I'm yet to be convinced he's as good at starting a game as he is coming off the bench like a man possessed. Should Phillips play ahead of Park? I would say yes. I've been very disappointed with him. He's been pure sh*te. Phillps, whilst sh*t, has been scapegoated for the rest of the useless cu*ts. At least he keeps running. Down one way passages yes but at least he'll knacker himself out.

I'm going to start a thread which will expand on this further but it relates to another player as well so its going to need its own thread. BTW, Reading on Sunday is the fourth game in a row that's on TV. Has that ever happened before in our history? I don't think it has. Bloody great!
