Where does he get anything he says from? Out of interest, I checked his prediction for the Merseyside derby, Everton are having a great season, strong at home, to Liverpool who, let's face it have been awful and cannot score for toffee (excuse the pun).

    Prediction: 1-1

I don't think he's ever tipped Liverpool to lose to Everton.

Love how he says 'will not just roll over' like it's a compliment or something. We lost to Utd by one goal at Old Trafford, beat Wigan and were incredibly unfortunate not to beat Southampton at St Mary's. West Ham game aside, which was the first after the transfer window shut, we have looked decent in all of our away games.

Some grand quotes guys, and I just can't wait to see a picture of Bandit in a bowler.

Not quite sure about this, but wasn't Berba's only away game for us the one against West Ham ?

The Cottage Chickens have gone straight for a draw - I think they may be right :

It was indeed his only game, he played 45 minutes and was by far our best player! Lawro has won against his challenger twice from 8 games. Shocking.

The 'Bollock' has us down for a 2-1 defeat. He reckons Everton's set pieces, aka Leighton Baines, will be our downfall.

I'm feeling more confident already, and there's no way lightening strikes thrice.

Though Lawro's generally underestimates Fulham, Everton are a very good club this year. They're full of confidence and quality. And none of the competitiveness they're known for has dissipated.

Side note - I've always held Steve Gerrard in high regard, but his comments this week that "Everton play like Stoke" is patently untrue. That was true 10 years ago, but Everton can pass the ball with the best teams in the league. Having said that, I don't think King Kong could with a header against Fellaini.

Lawro's prediction has just sealed the 3 points for you, the camp has been never calls us right.

Cheers for the comments about Gerrards bile. What you didn't see on the TV was that he ran 80 yards to their fans, then performed a knee slide, finishing with a Gladiator style pose, after Suarez 'scored' the disallowed goal. His face when he realised it hadn't been given & that we were on the break was a picture, we were all pissing ourselves laughing at him & his massive ego took a pounding.

I found it hilarious that he came back and basically said "erm, actually, I didn't mean that", after the stats showed Liverpool had completed more long passes <laugh>

Will somebody come round and help me mop up the pieces of my brain? My head just spontaneously combusted because I agree with the mustachioed bellend there. It'll be a tight game though, if we turn up and don't switch off at set pieces we'll be fine, IMO.

It always seems like Gerrard plays more long balls than anyone in the league. It's all he seems to do for England - punt long balls forward and hope for the best.

No mate, you've got that all wrong. In the land of the kopite, Gerrards punts are precision long passes, whereas our long balls to the best chest controller of a football in the division i.e. Fellaini, are aimless hoofs.

Not just in the land of the kopite though, is it? It's the mainstream media view as well.

Although your overall point is, of course, absolutely right.

I think the media have turned a bit of late on Stevie GBH. He'd have got away with that comment on Monday unchallenged by the media a year ago, this week though, they couldn't wait to get their teeth into him, forcing him into that pitiful retraction. I think the media love in with Gerrard & Liverpool FC in general is over tbh.

I didn't see it as a pitiful retraction. I thought it was good of him to admit he got it wrong with his heat-of-the-moment unjustifiable statement about Everton's playing style. The second comment, far from being pitiful did him a lot more credit than the original one. Could you imagine Rooney, Terry or someone with a bigger ego going public with a retraction like that? Not sure I could. I think Liverpool get less media favour since their handling of the Suarez/Evra thing too.

Mate if you think that he made that statement willingly then you're extremely naive. He made that statement through gritted teeth after being told to, as he'd created more bad PR for them. He's said plenty worse & never retracted it, this time the media ripped him to shreds with it, using facts, so it reflected badly, hence the positive PR - but don't allow yourself to be conned into thinking it was Stevie's 'good nature' at play, lol.

Lawro's right about us letting in goals from set pieces just lately. But like a lot of the Media he falls into the trap
of thinking we are a one man Berbatov team. Most of the TV media make their observations about Fulham after watching only the
5 minutes we get on MOTD. Let's hope Everton believe the hype.

I'm slightly ashamed to say it and please don't judge me but I think Lawro might actually be onto something this week. We're having trouble with set pieces so Baines i think will probably score, and I can see Fellaini getting a headed goal if Hangeland were to switch off for a moment. Add to that that Everton seem to be our "Bogey team" then 2-1 sounds about right to me, maybe 2-2 if Ruiz, Diarra and Baird play like they have been so far this season.
