Trained all week and will play in a ressie game in the next week or so... http://www.hullcityafc.net//news/article/bruce-on-hobbs-462233.aspx?pageView=full Welcome back Jack. Be interesting to see what happens to the other centre backs once he's fit again.
Excellent news. I just hope people will give him time. He isnt going to come back and be the player he was straight away. Hes had a shocking injury and it will take him time to get fit and then match fit.
I expect all OLM's prayers have been answered. I'd love to see his reaction if Bruce Jnr is played over Hobbs when he's fit.
I'd like to point out to Stevie, that my seat at the KC is within coin distance of where he stands. Nuff said.
Let's not get carried away with Hobbs. He's a good centre back, but that's all he is. His distribution is awful,he has no pace and offers no goal threat whatsoever. I'm not sure he's the star larker some seem to remember. Don't get me wrong though,as i said he is a good all out defender.
Completely different Stewart was quality on his first game back! Just more consistently **** then good Hobbsy is a huge asset and consistently good!
He's good enough at this level. We're only asking for a competant centre half, who'll get his body in the way of the ball when it threatens our goal. In David "Sideshow Bob" Luiz at Chelsea, we've seen how badly an average defender/ player can get it wrong if he thinks he can dribble his way through everyone.
I don't want a centre back to ''dribble'' obviously.I just want him to play a simple pass to midfield. Jack struggles to do this. He is though as you say,a competent defender.
Amos Hobbs Faye Chester Elmo Quinn Tunnicliffe Koren Rosenior Aluko Campbell Should do the trick (rumours and wild speculation permitting).
