BBC Solent Sport ‏@solentsport 'Nigel Adkins has told us that Gaston Ramirez is fit for #Saintsfc's game at #WBA on Monday night'
'Adkins also says Jack Cork is "there or thereabouts". Frazer Richardson the only injury problem for #Saintsfc'
BBC Radio Solent: "We also asked Nigel Adkins whether he'd been given any reassurances about his job by #Saintsfc chairman Nicola Cortese. Audio here in next hour"
Why all the excitement? He isn't that good and it was £12m we should have spent on two CBs... bloody Cortese interfering again. < < < < < < < some men dress up as women on Friday, I thought I'd dress up as someone else...
Nigel on whether Nicola Cortese has given him any assurances: http://audioboo.fm/boos/1037755-sai...y-reassurance-about-his-job-from-the-chairman
Haha, that was me. It was done to death before you have to admit. Had a little chuckle at seeing it again though. Adkins doesn't seem to want to spill the beans on what the chairman said does he? Seems strange that he wouldn't just say "no we haven't spoken about it" or something.
I thought he gave the perfect answer. It's results that count, not conversations. Hopefully the team will do the talking on the pitch, starting on Monday.
Exactly. There were 3 options for Nigel: Nigel: "I have been given assurances" - Headline: "ADKINS GIVEN VOTE OF CONFIDENCE" Nigel: "No I haven't been given assurances" - Headline: "CORTESE LACKS CONFIDENCE IN MANAGER" Nigel: "We need results" - Headline: "NIGEL SAYS SAINTS NEED RESULTS" I think he chose the right option.
Er, I think it's much more likely they will pick up on his evasion of the question and read something negative into it.
As I have not really seen Cork much in action, do you guys think he is a better option than Davis or will he be seen more on the subs bench? My main gripe about Davis is that he does not pass the ball forward quickly and our attack can stall, unlike JWP, but obiously he has more physical presence and experience than JWP. I thought Cork was more defensive minded but I may be wrong.
Great news...didn't think he'd be back so soon....last minute winner from gaston or am I being a little bit too hopeful?!
