Dear oh dear oh dear. For the records, you can call anything black as long as it's a description of the colour of the thing! It is only offensive if it is used in a pejorative way; ie as an insult. Why is that so difficult to grasp?
The definition of racism is someone or group of people who think that he or she or they think they are superior because of their race or colour of their skin. Calling a black man black is not racist. Even making jokes about blacks, chinks, spicks, wops, yids, pikies, michael doolans, ragheads etc is not racist if the intent is to use those races to create a humorous situation rather than belittle a person's colour or race. I'm half yid and have had the mickey taken out of me countless times. But that is just stereotypical humour not racism. Whereas Rio Ferdinand calling Gays, ***gots is akin to racism because he thinks he is superior because he is heterosexual.
