Our home form is great and a draw against Chelsea will be enough but we can beat them. It will hard but we can win so keep chins up. We never do anything easily.
I completely agree. A draw or loss today was always likely given our away form, but chelsea is a different matter completely with our stunning home record and how well we played against them in the champions league.
Chelsea will drop points in the run in. Everton away and away to Utd is not easy. We can beat them but lets get a good result against Shalke. If we beat them and go through to the final the players confidence will be sky high again. We have the experience and we must show faith to the players and I really believe we can get number 19. Few twists left yet though. I would take 2 draws against Chelsea and Blackburn because we can beat Blackpool at OT!!
Now Chelsea realistically have a chance for the first time they might well start playing to their true potential like last year? Who would have thought this on February 26th when you were 15 points in front?
15 points infront? that was due to chelsea having a game in hand. If we never got to later stages of FA CUP and CL we would have won it by now. It is easy playing for one trophy. It is game on between us now and the game at OT is huge. We must dust ourselves down and go through in the CL. We need to rest players against Shalke. Hernandez, Rooney, Giggs, Rio, Carrick, Park and maybe VDS should all be rested. The game against Chelsea is so big now that we can't afford fatigue.
Haven't Chelsea been playing to their true potential for the last three months? Or are you suggesting that 32 points from 12 games is just Chelsea cruising along in second gear?
Things change fast. Just a few months before that you were scoring 5-7 per game and certain to dominate. Form in the league this year is a case of musical chairs.
It is very even at the minute in the title race but lets wait and see. Ferguson predicted a few twists and that seems likely.
The vast majority of your fans had said the title race was over. What makes you think you can win it now?
We are still not playing with the same swagger as last term, where we were quite clinical scoring 103 goals in winning the double. see what I did there? I accidentally mentioned the double winning season
Got what we deserved today. There is no point in Fergie saying that United never play for a draw. By merely mentioning the draw pre-match he was making it clear that it was on his mind. Had we gone for it today, I think we would have won. We sat back and lost instead. What worries me is that I'd be willing to bet Fergie would take a draw next Sunday (without playing for it of course) and we may well lose again.
MalteseMick impersonator Our home record is great, we never played for a draw when we were 1.0 up in CL against Chelsea. At home we will play for the win and with our home record and support we can do it. Everything seems like doom and gloom but in football fortunes can all change. Chelsea are not exactly beating teams with ease here, and were as lucky as it gets against Spurs. At home we can beat Chelsea and I fully expect us to rest Rooney, Hernandez, Park, Carrick, Giggs, Rio for that game against Shalke, maybe even more. Ferguson did say he will freshen up the team with Berba and Owen playing and Scholes. And we may even see Fletcher again. The title is wide open but we never ever do it the easy way. The team against Shalke will likely be ...........Owen Berbatov Nani Fletcher Scholes Valencia Evra......Vidic...Smalling...Oshea ...................VDS The big game against Chelsea should be Rooney Hernandez Park Carrick.. Giggs.....Valencia Evra...Vidic....Rio......Rafa/Fabio/Oshea .....................VDS Lets keep the faith
