please log in to view this image After a continued good cup run including beating Southampton 3-0 we face a Brighton team in 10th, one place above us. Dangermen Leeds United Michael Tongue- After a first few below average games for the Whites, Tongue has turned it around, he grabbed a brilliant goal against Sheffield Wednesday and got on the score sheet against Southampton. Ryan Hall- Yet to make a full debut for Leeds, Hall scored in the development squad and got the highest amount of assists in English football last season. Known for pace and taking defenders on hopefully he can become the new Max Gradel. Brighton & Hove Albion Craig Mckail Smith- With 6 goals this term, Smith is looking to prove himself as a Championship striker. Rumours were we had an offer turned down for his services in the summer. Hopefully he wi have an off day against a defence that isn't the best. Wayne Bridge- The defender on loan from City is one of the best in the league. With defensive and attacking qualities he will be wanting to show he is still capable and has managed to score 2 goals this season from the back 4. Team News Leeds United Leeds still sweating on the fitness of captain Lee Peltier. Ryan Hall to come back into squad. Decisions to make over Ashdown and Varney after doing well midweek in the place of Kenny and Becchio Brighton & Hove Albion Lua Lua pushing for place in squad Orlandi pushing for starting place Hoskins still on sidelines Vicente not expected to play Enochs Eleven PK LP JP TL AD RH RA MT AW EHD LV Enochs Prediction Confidence will be with Leeds following the midweek cup performance but this is Leeds and nothing is ever simple or easy. Becchio hasn't looked brilliant of late and Varney performed against the Saints. Ryan Hall should be given game time and hopefully him and White will attack there full backs with there pace. Brighton will cause problems with there attack especially Smith. The back 4 needs to be in there right positions and have experience in Drury. My prediction for this game is Brighton 2- 3 Leeds. Hopefully Ryan Hall will give a good performance if chosen. Over to the Elland Road and Brighton faithful Keep the banter flowing, Enoch X
Brighton have good play and posession, you will have to hope that they havnt improved in the final third since we played them
thought MT (Michael Tonge) was in as his CM alongside Rudy. I'd personally play -----------------------Kenny----------------------- Byram------------Pearce--------Lees----------Drury White------------Norris--------Austin---------Tonge ------------------Diouf---------Varney-------------- I'm over trying to fit Pelts into the team, he hasn't performed as well as Byram and I'd rather see a player whos comfortable playing LB in drury. Still don't think Hall will be ready so put white there instead, pace for pace, like for like change if required. Don't think becchio deserves a chance and think varney does so thats an easy one for me I don't think we should be isolating Craig Mackail-Smith as there dangerman, he feeds off good work of others to finish off moves, he ghosts into positions so I'd tell Lees to keep tight on him but we need to try to cut off the supply more than anything if we are that worried about him. I'm going a 3-1 win for the mighty whites
I don't want to tire Byram out to early in the season, Hall played for the development team and managed to score and think it would catch Brighton off guard if we were to play him.
Ah ok, makes sense then I thought that a couple games ago to be honest but he seems to keep surprising me with continuing performances
I don't think he's great but looked at the team and there wasn't enough pace, pair that with the fact that Bridge struggles against pacey wingers and is was either gonna be him or Hall and I don't think Hall is ready
If you lose tonight and the Wall pick up a surprise win tomorrow against the Florists..... the table will look very interesting. I know that's a lot of 'ifs' - but can you feel the Millwall express gathering pace? COYL
-----------------------Kenny----------------------- Peltier------------Pearce--------Lees----------Drury Byram------------Norris--------Austin---------Tonge ------------------Diouf---------Varney-------------- Could have White on left and move Tonge into the middle in place of Norris.
