    We're bitter?

We didn't racially abuse anybody or accuse anybody of racial abuse (players or referees).

    We didn't lie in court.

We haven't produced any controversial banners.

I think it is you who should make yourself aware of the facts.

A dreadful opening gambit of revisionist clap-trap.

The Clattenburg/Mikel thing is indeed ridiculous but to attempt to link it to an incident that happened a year ago is far-fetched and nonsensical.

    But Swords,

It is a bit ironic of Chelsea to complain of their players being racially abused (after they lose) when they did nothing about John Terry for over a year when he racially abused another club's player. Not only that but they as a club actively portrayed a picture of him being a very honest upstanding chap who wouldn't abuse a nun never mind another footballer.

Do you not see the irony in that?

I do indeed see the irony Fingi. It is very hypocritical. Just as Terrygate was from a lot on here. But surely its done and dusted now?

The only reason Chelsea are going after Clattenburg is because he fu*ked them during the game against United. They are a fu*king joke of a Club.

They announced he will get a lifetime ban, what a bunch of hypocritical ****ers for not throwing Terry out of that scummy club, hes still captain.

Id love for that guy to take the scum to court over a ban and ask them why they didnt do the same to their racist captain.

I can understand why Obi Mikel stayed quiet after hearing Terry's rant. It would have taken a very brave man to stand up against his own club captain. I just had to make the point of his hypocricy in his actions now. I don't think that makes my statement revisionist. Still, I've been called a lot worse.Totally agree with your last line.

Cheers Secret. Yeah, I am a QPR supporter. The names a tribute to the legend that was Dominic Iorfa. Never really seen anything like him at Loftus Road, before or since. In a way I almost miss these comedy value legends, such as him, Devon White etc. When things were bad at least you could almost have a bit of a laugh when these guys came off the bench. SWP doesnt really have the same affect.

Very true mate, I'm 30 now and started going Qpr in those halycon days ! Heck my family is from the grove, I remember when I was a nipper I used to walk from portobello road after taking my nan out for the day in her wheelchair (she had Parkinson's) down the du cane road across the a40 and buy my ticket. I was only about 12 or 13 at the time.

My godfather who some on here will no doubt know took me and my bro home and away, some memories as I just wish I could travel back in time and do it all again.

As you get older you grow wiser but the fun factor of seeing the lads kick off at 3pm will never go away !

Totally agree.....at least there was maybe one occasion when they surprised us with a previously inconceivable moment of competence which sadly appears to be beyond SWP....& to be fair - we've had more than our fair share.....Tony Sealy, Marc Nygaard....George Santos slip of the tongue

Here's a different view on events.

Clattenburg has a very bad day at the office [contrast Lee Mason last night] - and he allegedly vocalises a racial slur.

Now think what you like about Chelsea and everything else that has been and gone in the recent past, the club have a duty to investigate the matter with their aggrieved player. It's a separate matter and needs to be dealt with accordingly. No hypocrisy or irony.

Fast forward a few days and what you're seeing is typical supporter behaviour.

Before we take the higher ground here, remember we too have our own racists and bigots. We also throw coins and invade the pitch and I've heard toxic language and racial slurs in the stands at QPR matches past and present [everytime we played Cardiff guaranteed]. I imagine every club has this problem, sadly it's indicative of an ignorant society.

What I saw and heard last night was two sets of supporters seeking to stir the pot and wind each other up and the opposing team. A banner here and there supporting Clattenburg and mocking Terry, nothing that hasn't happened before. Take the United fans singing ironically 'justice for Clatttenburg' - I wondered how the relatives of Hillsborough felt about that?

But as I said, it's all low level stuff that happens all the time at football. Yes it's distasteful, just as the 'you're just a French Jimmy Savile' chants aimed at Arsene Wenger were last month.

I am a firm believer that racism has no place in football or society for that matter and needs to be dealt with, both on the pitch and in the stands.

There is however a very fine line between sharp humour and offensive behaviour and I get the impression that this gets more and more blurred in the media frenzy.

Cerny, old fellow. I'm good thanks. Enjoyed the football last night, a great game, and gutted to miss the Arsenal the night before - I was out enjoying a curry.

Not sure if I can make the Christmas get together, stretching things a bit with the young family. I'm am however up in Stoke next weekend and have pencilled in Villa on December 1st.

Wife only has two days leave at Christmas, so I'll be looking after the kids. Cannot wait for them to be a bit older and into football so we can enjoy it together. If I asked my youngest two [both boys] they'd probably opt for Superwhys instead of Super Hoops at the mo.... where am I going wrong??
