Well the way I see it is, it doesn't really matter what stupid argument I come up with you'll find something to come back at me about. And in any case, if I keep you busy on this thread, you can't be annoying anyone on another thread,
Overrated....much more worried about getting the defense sorted. We've had too much goalkeeping change as it is
The reason I say that is I thought we got him from Wallsend and other teams wanted him , our scout at the time brought him down . He was 15 when he came down .
Yes, it should be like doing National Service, part of our dues to society. We need to keep the more demented members of this forum occupied.

Cody Cropper has had problems with injuries that set back his development and Ipswich is not a position where they can afford to carry a 2-3 year project at GK. It was a smart move by Saints to pick him up where he can train at our nice EPPP category one facility and play in the Premier League U21 team. If he can stay healthy he could be very good. He's still on the US U20 men's team. I know we generally suck at football, but we are pretty good at producing goalkeepers.
Strewth Guys how the hell would getting Butland in help our present difficulties. I do not believe that goalkeeping is our problem. We have Holy Joe and Gazza either one will do a good job for us. We need an exceptional CB right sided and an exceptional left back (or another CB who can play this position also) We could do with a genuine pacy right Midfielder and possibly a genuine pacy left midfielder as well. We definitely need two defenders and at least one winger of that there is no doubt. (That should stir the pot a bit)
And Kevin Phillips by us, Keegan by Coventry, Beardsley by united, oh and me by saints and Pompey!! Ok maybe the last one they got right. Here's the best "release"'ever.... Cantona by Leeds.
I still think that signing Boruc was a huge mistake, don't get me wrong he is a good keeper and that, but in terms of his personlaity, I don't know I think that there is something strange about him, if anyone has seen his first interview with saints when he signed then you might know what I'm talking about and being nicknamed the "the holy goalie" isn't something to be proud of, being over religious is very dangerous and it's not the best thing to have in the dressing room.
Err no I am not , he was denied a chance to trail at Newcastle (they apparently still wanted him) and we snapped him up , at 15 .
