What are the rules regarding flares at football grounds in England? United took a flare or two to the Bridge yesterday and everything looked fine. The man holding the flare wasn't evicted from the ground and it looks good. United are the only team who really take flares on away days. I think flares help to create an atmosphere inside the ground and I quite like seeing them in stadiums like they do in many European countries. I think we should take a few blue flares to Leeds for our League Cup tie to spice up the atmosphere!

I think he did get taken away. At least half a dozen police swarmed that spot 10 minutes later. As they were below the police box, they surley identified him before they came down to take him away.

There was a guy that ran onto the pitch, he certainly got away with it the lucky sod.

I'm considering going to the Leeds games, but we would get knicked for bringing flares I think. Bit risky, I certainly wouldn't be the one lighting it.

I can remember someone letting off a sky rocket in the Chelsea end at Wembley in the League Cup final 1972 after Ossie equalised against Stoke.
