Only concern I have; how much money do we have for January? If we were so tight in September what can we buy in January?

Young strikers will be over priced out of our range.

Older strikers will be vetoed by FSG or limited to 2 million quid offers or something!

We do know have the two former city scouts in place don't we (off gardening leave)? They're going to get a culture shock lol

 

Said it before but think we could get Pierre Aubmeyang for about 12. Has a lot of attributes we could use.

 

Well the owners were happy to free up £15million for Daniel Sturridge, so I dont see why they wouldnt do the same for any one in that age group.

Rumours also have it that we were willing to meet a fee for Damiao but he wanted ski high wages.

Walcott will be available at a cut fee if he doesnt sign a new deal. Gary Hooper is likely to be available at £5million if we choose to go with him.

Or we could go with a loan and save up big for the summer.

 

Maybe not Arsenal can be difficult and may make him see out his contract.

 

I would have liked to see us go through, especially with the teams that are left in the comp, but also I am not too bothered. It wasn't our strongest squad and we went out to some decent football from both teams. But Luv is right, from now on we should push to try and win all competitions we are in...including the PL. Never gonna win it, but if you don't try then you aint going anywhere.

 

But then they will loose at financially.

My worry is, what do people think they are going to let him go for? He is young, English, and they will want return. Nothing short of 15 million pounds and that is bare minimum, I can see it getting to 22 if I am honest.

 

Season started in August mate. Rodgers hasn't prepared you very well is all.

He brought in 2 centre midfielders (Allen & Sahin) when you already had Lucas, Henderson, Gerrard and Shelvey.
He should have just bought Allen.
He let Carroll go out on loan before signing a replacement.
You should have had the choice between Suarez, Borini and Carroll for centre forward....Borini's injury wouldn't have been such a big deal then.
He has destroyed Downing's confidence and is on the way to destroying Henderson's and Enrique's.
It was obvious to all and sundry that instead of buying Sahin he should have been looking at either a winger or an attacking midfielder (2nd striker) and that you needed to sell either Carroll or Downing if he wanted another striker (Suarez playing on the right possibly).
He got the balance wrong in this difficult run of games. There should have been more of a blend. He had to play a mostly second string last night because the firsts had played 2 games in 4 days....but he picks Allen and plays him the 90!? and then plays Gerrard and Suarez for 45 also. Will he expect these 3 to play against Anzhi as well as 2 league games next week? He is risking injuries.
If you lose out in Russia your season will be on a knife edge already.

We were excellent. Jazz Richards was my stand out at right-back! KI, Michu and Chico were immense also.
The sad fact for you fellas is you finished the game with Suarez, Sterling, Gerrard, Shelvey and Allen on the pitch and came off second best against our reserves defence and goalie + Ashley Williams.
You don't get enough bodies in the box (Is anyone playing AM?) and, apart from Suarez, don't have the guile and trickery to create good chances. Michu, Hernandez, De Guzman and Dyer were a lot more dangerous...a lot more.

Rodgers has a squad of Internationals, even in the seconds.
Your wage bill is about 8 times as much as ours.
He has at his disposal one of the best Academies in Europe with top coaches and poached youngsters. We don't even have an academy or our own training facilities....when our squad gets decimated by injuries we pick 2 local boys who have previously been playing the likes of Barnet U-21s (Jazz and Ben Davies).

Rodgers, more than anyone, knows he has no excuses for last night.

 

Wenger and Arsenal were stubborn ****ers with Nasri despite him only having twelve months to run on his contract so they have previous. However, there is one big difference in that, should they not agree a fee in the coming window then Theo WILL leave for free unless he signs a new deal. With Nasri, they had the January window as a backup
