NMG this is a joke right? Johnson is the 2nd best player in the North East (behind Benny). He will come good. I think he is the man to SAVE MO'N ffs
NMG's sole purpose on here seems to be to wind people up, but with the same monotonous drivel being posted all the time, I believe most people have developed an immunity to him.
Technically, he is. When he is on his game the boy is dynamite. People like Cabaye, Ba, Sessegnon are top quality too but I think AJ shades it. I can't include Shola as, I am sure my mackem friends will agree, he is a supernatural force far superior to any human
'Techinally he is'. Just on the pitch he isn't. When he is on his game the boy is dynamite? When is he ever gonna be on his game?
never said there was but a lot of plakka mags have appeared since 1992 who have fck all to do with newcastle from easington, hordern, peterlee et cetera
I don't think it's fair to say that the measure of a player is whether Mancini selects them regularly or not. He doesn't have the first clue about how to individually manage players. Having said that, NMG is obviously entitled to share his opinion. Johnson's not in the best form of his career so he's open to judgement but as long as NMG is prepared to back track and hold his hands up when Johnson does rediscover some form, then I say fire away, it's only bickering really! NMG, you're in the minority mate, most people will tell you Johnson is a class act but he like any other player might take time to bed in. Johnson is often quite a selfish player and for him to be a success at Sunderland he needs to put the team first instead of thinking his left foot is tantamount to Cristiano Ronaldo's right foot, I don't see the value in these type of players which is why donkey Torres is still keeping Sturridge out of the Chelsea first 11.
Idiotic as usual NMG. Championship level? One of the sillier things you've wrote. I take it this all stems from who he supported as a kid? You do realise that probably 95% of footballers stop really supporting a side once they earn professional contracts. The clue is in the name "professional". They have a duty to their employer and work on that basis. Until you sign someone who can compliment Cattermole in midfield, dictate the pace of a game with pass and move, and pick killer balls, you'll never see the best of Johnson and Sessegnon. They don't get the ball in the right areas and too much is being asked. I'm sure O'Neill is aware of this, even if I suspect he is struggling to realise that he needs to tweak his mentality to suit the game since his absence. Gardner is a trier and he'l box to box all day but he falls short in other areas. If you maybe played a midfield 3 on occasion I could his uses but otherwise he looks a squad player. Someone who can come on and kill a game for you by pressurising the oppo. Vaughan and Colback are just not good enough at the level. I suspect Sunderland will spend biggish on a ball player in the window and patience is required.
What a good post hot pockets. I do think we need to give Gardner a few games in there and see how it pans out, but I have said I have my reservations, not so much his ability, but his influence on games & his decision making. He could be developed, but like you I'm inclined to think we will look for a ball playing CM, probably with a bit of physicality. Plenty of potentials in France & Holland, and if MON sticks to British, I'd be going all out for James Morrison of West Brom.
