This isn't about Italian football....he's French and learned his trade in Blighty. Have any of you seen him play? I've seen his last 3 starts and he genuinely looks the most immediately impressive player I have seen in a long, long time. On this evidence the best box-to-box midfielder since Viera. He actually plays and moves uncannily like him. I remember Giggs and Scholes saying in interview in the blink of an eye that if any young player 'makes it' it will be him but I'd never seen him play before. I knew Ferguson was gutted to lose him and I can see why - he's EXACTLY what they're missing. Basically, he looks a potential star.
I have to admit i am shocked United did not have him tied down for longer. I know he wanted to go somewhere for more games, but you would have thought United would never have let his contract run down so easily. On the subject of him as a player, i think he is a great talent, looks good physically and it doesn't affect his touch or other parts of his game that you need in this day in age. I am very impressed like yourself.
I'm also surprised that Arsenal didn't go for him, unless they did? He is the player Wenger has spent the last decade looking for. And he's French!
Juventus, and as he joined Manchester United in very dodgy circumstances from Le Havre I haven't stopped laughing since he went to Italy.
Perfect kind of player for Arsenal, what Wenger is missing especially without Song there now to. They may have done for all we know, maybe he just didn't like it in England?
Put it this way, at the moment he's playing in a centre midfield pairing with Andrea Pirlo and HE'S the one shining. Pirlo is hardly touching the ball!
United fan in peace. The reason is contract talks broke down is he was asking for an insane amount of money for someone who had seen very little first team football. There were rumors that his agent was the one trying push him out the door because the signing bonus he would get. At the end of the day Pogba didn't want to attempt to break into the first team here. Sadly we all thought this would be the year he established himself as a first team player.
Sounds like a greedy little **** a bit like Frazier Campbell. Looks like Anderson and Cleverley might step up to the plate for your lot this year so maybe you won't have needed him.
