Encouraging! BREAKING TEAM NEWS Norwich make a whopping 10 changes from the side that drew at Aston Villa on Saturday. Only goalscorer Michael Turner remains. Defender Steven Whittaker will make his debut. Tottenham have been less aggressive with their changes - just the five for them. Hugo Lloris is back in goal, while Gareth Bale starts. And Kyle Naughton lines up against the club he enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at last season From the BBC site

It makes me feel better that Norwich are going with even less of their first team, apparently, than we are. Well, let's see if Gylfi can come up with another big goal. It will be a good test for him, Carroll and Dempsey in the striker role. I'm glad Naughton and Livermore are getting a chance. If worst comes to worst, at least we rested Vertonghen, Gallas, Lennon, Defoe, Huddlestone and Sandro for Sunday.
How badly do we need another striker? It'd be a very good idea to bring in someone that could play in the U21s, so he wouldn't feel completely frozen out if Adebayor and Defoe were picked consistently. I assume that we're lining up in the standard 4-2-3-1: Lloris; Walker, Dawson, Caulker, Naughton; Carroll, Livermore; Falque, Sigurdsson, Bale; Dempsey? Could be more of a 4-3-3 with Sigurdsson joining the midfield and Falque, Bale and Dempsey as the front 3 though, I guess.
Sounds like we've dominated possession so far, but failed to really create any chances. Perhaps that's not surprising, given the number of midfielders that we're using and the lack of an out-and-out striker. Our Nextgen team is currently leading 1-0 in Anderlecht, via a 2nd half Bentaleb penalty.
Dempsey put through by Bale, but he shoots over. First attempt of the game by either side. 23 minutes gone.
i think AVB knows that we want a trophy and as fans any will do for now..he puts out respectable teams it seems
Norwich get a couple of corners, one comes to nothing and the other sees Morrison head straight at Lloris. Bale has a half chance, but puts it wide. Anderlecht equalise in the Nextgen. 1-1. 76 minutes gone.
Penalty to Cheslki. Sideshow Bob Scores. 1-1. Was a Penalty to me. Nowhere near the ball. Trying to watch two games at once is a bit confusing at times. Too nerve wracking to watch Spurs at the mo and hoping the Man USA v. Chelski games is as entertaining as last weekend.
