No Ref would book me-I'm their friend, but a few in yellow shirts may have to spell their name to the man with the notebook on Sat if they want to keep up current form
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/10018883.Watford_await_Coventry_s_decision_on_McGinn/ Did he do alright? Leeds reported that he played well. Fitness, money? Don't know why Coventry did not grab the chance to have him on a loan until the New Year
I still haven't forgiven Durr'so for not giving us a stonewall pen at home to Forest on Boxing Day nearly three years ago!!!
i don't think D'urso is one of the really bad refs, he's just bad McGinn is fit by all accounts..so it won't be fitness...
I hope he gets a run in the first team again. Frankly I am surprised, I thought Zola would like midgets with talent...
I think the problem for SM is the formation. He is not an out and out striker so wouldn't play as part of the two and he is not good enough defensively to feature as a wing back. Which leaves him the centre of midfield and we all know Franco loves Yeates so he has no place unfortunately.
Not too sure which of his strikers he will play. I wonder if he has seen enough to make up his mind? http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/10022060.Watford_s_striker_rotation_is_unlikely_to_continue/
though that does sort of contradict what he said at the Fans Forum about players not coping with so many matches a week, so resting some regularly...
For those wondering about Andy D'Urso's record with Watford... http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/watford-fc/schiedsrichterdetail/verein_1010_614.html
Good to see that we are not all about imports. http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/121103-zola-post-leicester-465384.aspx
Hoban was excellent all through the game. In addition to a good touch, for a young player he reads the game well...always seems alert and in the right place. Forestieri is a crowd-pleaser...quick feet and lots of tricks. Like many similar players he does over-elaborate sometimes and yesterday a few chances went begging because of that. You'd expect his decision-making to improve the more he plays.
I can't work out whether Zola is a genius, a calculating risk-taker or a nutter in the way he treats our better players. Our top scorer hasn't played 90 minutes since September, Abdi tends to get a Nosworthy style "injury" as soon as he has a mediocre game, Murray has been out of the picture for a while (I'm glad about that to be honest, lads his age need the right balance of rest, training and games), and now Forestieri is publicly being challenged to up his work rate having been named man of the match. I don't think he has got any of those man-management decisions wrong as such, but he's sailing close to the wind in each case.
He was saying all the right things at the Fans Forum and now this interview continues the theme. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...rting_to_understand_what_makes_Watford_tick_/ Just hope that he really means it all, but not too sure about what happened to some of the staff who left.
