I'd love us to get him as he's scoring for fun but £1m, I can't see us coughing up that much so just hope JB is good for the money as I'm sure it'll impact on Kenny's transfer budget otherwise
If he bags 20 goals for us this season (bearing in mind he already has hit 5 in 8 games) what will he be worth then ?
Shed loads more mate but can you honestly see us spending a mill on one player? I hope we do but I can't see it happening so I hope to be wrong
Perhaps Chesh could do a few people up like a kipper and make them part with their hard earned cash iv heard he has done that to someone already
If i was negotiating my offer would be this; £700,000 upfront £500,000 more if Millwall win promotion. £500,000 more if Wood scores over 20 league goals in a season 50% of any future transfer fee over the initial 700k payed. So for arguments sake Millwall win promotion with Wood scoring over 20 goals West Brom will have bagged £1.7m, then in a couple of years time Barcelona pay us £30m for him West Brom will cop another £14.65m. How can they refuse an offer like that?
Not a cat in hell's chance, when we brought in players at the start of the season the directors were saying that Kenny gone over his budget !!
Wow Stu! Is that how you do all your negotiating up north? On the downside wasn't it Daniele Dichio who scored for fun when on loan for us - but slowed when he became perm?
He's only 20 and he looks a handy player, I'd be surprised if the Baggies want to let him go on a permanent. How much do you reckon it would take to secure the services of Liam Trotter and do you think you might cash in with him having one year to run after this season?
WOW i wouldnt let any of you lot run my club! 700k upfront 500k for promo 500k for 20 goals and 50% sell on fee...... for a player thats out of contract at the end of the season you guys are mental! Id have a word in woods shell like say " listen son, your contracts up at the end of the year we love you the fans love you, come sign a pre contract to play for millwall at the end of the season 3 year 10k a week deal" then when he has done that go to Brom listen lads he's ours at the end of the season but as its January transfer window... we'll give you 400k now? bosh in the bag done!
Manager Kenny Jackett is keen on extending the deal saying that the door is open for an agreement to be made. “We’ve talked to him before,” he explained. “He has two years left on his contract. “Liam is vice-captain. We think he is a very good player. Our door is open, yes.” That's from last month and every reference I can find to his current deal says it expires at the end of the 2013/14 season.
