I agree with the humor to a point, but there are lines you do not cross, and to be honest having someone else,s name with a picture of a peado next to it is not funny at all its sad and pathetic, but I guess there are people who like to have the attention.
Disagree, in comedy there are no lines that can be crossed. He is not going up to a 'victim' and pointing and laughing at them. It is a clear attempt at making people laugh and should be looked at that way. People shouldn't be insulted on behalf of other people, I have never understood this
with all due respect, how do you not know there are no victims on here? i'm not talking about savile or glitter victims, but abuse like this happens around the country. greg wallace from masterchef recently said he was sexually assaulted as a child. do you think that is funny? i find it incredibly distasteful and were he on the norwich board i'd call for him to be banned for having that as his profile picture. it is NOT funny. it is idiotic. there's a massive, massive difference. he's a tool and not a very useful one.

I wasn`t at Villa and did not hear any JS chants on TV so i don`t have an opinion one way or the other, if it turns out to be true and a few morons were singing about Savile for shock/comedy value then they should just be ignored. My 6 year old girl found it funny to call me and others a bum bum head, although not offensive or swearing this did not impress me whilst sitting on a packed tube train, at first i would tell her not to do it so she realised quickly that she could gain attention by using this annoying insult. I learnt that by ignoring her when she said it she would soon get bored and start behaving . The same approach should be used to morons who get their jollies by singing about plane crashes crushed fans , stabbings in Turkey buses getting shot at crashed helicopters ,Wenger being a nonse etc.. By starting a thread about being morally outraged by something you neither saw or heard for yourself is stupid, it`s as if you want to be shocked or just enjoy telling other people to be equally offended by something that they didn`t hear or see either.... Jimmy Savile ,Gary Glitter ,Jackson and Barrymore fit into the boogeyman vile pervert bracket so boys/men will always find it funny to text unfunny crude jokes about these types to their mates to get a cheep laugh and if the Leeds fan chooses to have Glitter as his Avatar it is merely a reflection of his character like it or not. Superman wears etc rattling on about a TV chef that may have got interfered with only proves the point, being offended for the sake of being offended is pointless maybe if he himself had been sexually assaulted then calling for posters to be banned may be justified but i don`t know the guy from Master ****ing chef and i doubt he takes time out of his busy life to read anonymous football forums on the interweb?... People should stop being so easily offended. Exodus having Savile and then Gary Glitter in his avatar in no way offends me. It also doesn't mean I or Exodus, or Josh, LIW or whoever condone their sickening acts. In the big scheme of things it's just an avatar on a football forum created to provoke a reaction. It doesn't change or affect my life one way or another, and nor do so called offensive chants at football grounds. We need that edginess to the game, otherwise it would turn into just another mundane, family friendly sport like rugby, or American football, and we wouldn't want that...would we?

i really don't think you get it. its this 'proudness' of savile/glitter which irks, not the jokes. i do get offended by people i don't know stereotyping me and others as being inbred actually. what is this based on? more people are inbred in london than norfolk. do they get songs sung about them? they don't know me. i take it on the chin as its 'banter' and a massive generalisation and sing something about them back as 'banter'. i do not find *****s pictures or singing songs about them 'banter'. nor munich or hillsborough songs. they are just sick. these are real life occurrences which affected many people. imagine if you'd been affected by something like that. if you still think it acceptable to take sing songs and be proud about it then your sub-human and detached from reality and feeling.
I do not think it`s ok to sing about these things at games either Supers, they are sick but i don`t believe for a second that they are proud of Savile merely trying to get attention by way of shock... When i was a kid there were jokes about Ethiopians and other nasty things going around school and unfortunately the laddish humour that comes out when drunk idiot men are at matches manifests into a small group thinking it`s clever or funny to sing about this sort of crap. The only way to deal with it is by ignoring it.

I understand you being annoyed, however he is not targeting you, he does not know you, you do not know him, he is not trying to offend you, his "joke" is not in any way related to you. Thats where i am coming from, I think it also helps that I find it near on impossible to be offended by people I don't care about or even know at all
Not the point pal, the point being it is related to me and anyone else who has been in my situation therefore it offends me deeply, it does not matter I do not know him I now know enough about him to form an opinion !!!
