Sword Of Destiny was a Grade 3 winner over hurdles (won on the bridle) also won a maiden hurdle on the bridle and beat a good horse in a bumper (now a 140 + chaser). Buckers Bridge won a p2p and his best bit of bumper form was a 9 lengths win over Morning Royalty on heavy ground (didn't look like winning that far 2f out). Morning Royalty is a rogue of the highest order who is no longer with Mullins and finished 4th of 6 at at Hexham over hurdles. He is a nice type but no chance would I be backing him at 6/4. I exepct SOD to win but a no bet race for me.

 

Good afty all... So the news has come that will be received by us all with a sigh of disappointment but also relief that Kauto Star has finally jumped and chased no more... Disappointment as we shall never see the great one again in battle over the jumps again, but maybe that with what we saw last time at Cheltenham means we all know it is the right decision...

Shame, but it comes to them all eventually...


Away from that news, ive done my usual and gone through the card at Haydock today...

1.40 - Right To Rule, 11/4
2.15 - Noble Legend, 11/4
2.50 - Ma Filleule, 4/9
3.20 - Satou, 7/2... NAP bet for today...!!!

WLYT...The Dutching win bet in the last at Taunton reaped a profit yesterday !

Arkle, Arkle...yah merely suggested ah dutch afta RedCgull went against yah selection. Ya never advised any dutch. Ya was merely coverin ya backside incase yahs got beat.. which it did an never even placed.... So i tak it Redcgull is ya bettin partner? LOL

 

Obviously if one of the pair is odds-on then it is a no-go !

WLYT ...I was given the info about Hobbs horse from elsewhere though I mentioned Nicholls from the outset too if you read my entire post and I suggested a Dutching win bet would be in order...so why the fuss now ?

If you put 10 pounds to win on a 10/11 shot and 10 pounds to win on a 10/1 shot in the same race and the 10/11 shot wins you actually lose money !!

Namned yepppp always on the bridle mate and a nice round of jumping won by 12 lengths

 

Happy days - I think he could be one to watch this year - couldn't back him today though.

 

Yepp agreed - and same 1-2 first time over fences. Was happy to just watch.
