I've had a recent brainwave. A moneymaking scheme that I fully plan to put into practice (with the help of a mate). Obviously, I'm not going to divulge cos one of you coonts would nick it. But, have you ever attempted a Delboy-style moneymaking scheme? Those of you that are self-employed - was it a big jump to leave salaried work and did you need to go through a bit of pain to get there?
Going self employed was a no brainer. The contract IT market was booming at the time (late 90's). Ah, how I miss those heady days we thought would last forever. But no. The ****s cottoned on to us.
Is it selling American and Israeli flags for burning in Muslim countries? Dangerous, but certainly a market for them.
I've got a genuine money maker. I've got a pretty big job on the go at the moment, part of the term of the contract (as is the norm with council work) is that you need to employ local labour. I've got 6 local young lads working for us down on this job, I pay them £70odd a week, and the government pay me £130 per lad just for giving them work. Cannae whack it.
