  2. What does that have to do with the current regime...?

Plus, you'd love a cup win, Carling Cup or not.

Yeah but that's the difference, we realise its not good enough but our club has & will continue to have the prestige and as you point out, the funds to keep trying, keep bring in managers & players until we get it right. Oh and while we do we'll keep winning the odd trophy here & there eh?

You lot have no prestige, no money & you've stuck with the same manager not because you value mediocrity (although to listen to you you seem to wallow in it it just a little) but because you know no better manager is going to come in to replace him.

So keep telling yourselves that 6th is brilliant, that continuity by just BEING in the PL is great. That having a manager for 10 years that DIDN'T get you relegated is a reason to cheer & sneer. That NOT winning a little tin pot like the league cup is brilliant.

We'll keep trying to get it right & win the shiny stuff. We can take being laughed at along the way because we realise its a road we're on. Not just sitting in the blue trailer park at the side of it.

You lads have forgotten what BITTER means. As since the derby all we've heard is bitter ramblings from the red half, whilst the blues have maintained a dignified silence & let the press debunk your false propoganda.

wtf is a 'potential' sleeping gaint btw? In a decade you've gone from a giant, to a sleeping giant, to a 'potential' sleeping giant, what's next, a comotose giant? a not quite a giant anymore, but still quite large giant?

Keep believing lad, whilst the rest of us watch you skidding down the downslope gathering more momentum by the month........

Ha, we may have fallen but it took 20 years & a set of owners that nearly ended us for us to fall far enough to be behind you trying your very very best.

And as I pointed out. We continue to have the means to get it wrong a few times & still have more to try again.

I've heard this "slide into obscurity" line a few times. We haven't and we won't. But you keep saying it if it makes 5/6/7th feel like champions.

Look in the mirror for the team that skid into mediocrity. I'm old enough to remember an Everton team that expected to win things lol...

& what does that tell you? As it tells a sane person, that we've got better, whilst you've got worse.

You've said that we accept mediocrity, whilst ignoring the fact that only 8 years ago Houlier was sacked as 4th wasn't good enough for you, 2 years ago Roy was sacked after you lot turned on him after an average start to the season. Now under the Ulster bullshitter, you've just had your worst start for 100 years & yet it's somehow Ok because he's got a 'system'. Anyone else would look at that & say that your ambitions have slid somewhat in a very short space of time, as top 6 now appears your collectively goal. Failing to accept mediocrity? Ok mate whatever you say.

Seriously you used a 5 game start to shoehorn Brendan into a list that proves our argument? Desperate?

Really? Not what I've been reading, as the press appear to seen through Rodgers soundbites & are questioning the waffle about his 'system'.

He's going to run out of the post it notes that Maureen threw away shortly :)

C'mon Tobes! Yes you've improved but even you know that's it. That's as good as it gets. Even if you squeeze into Europe a couple of times, you don't have a big enough squad to survive it and you've no money to add to it & maintain it. You will teeter around there for 1, maybe 2 years like you did once before in the last 20 and then you'll wander back down the league as teams that players want to go to & can actually pay them 21 century wages pass you once again.

And yes that obviously means us.

Desperate? How so, you were all over Roy's back after a similar period & you can't deny it.

He's delivered 2 wins in 9 league games, over the mighty Reading & Norwich.

Until we can find a benefactor then it'll be impossible for us to overtake the CL sides & the Billionaire funded City & Chelsea. FFP will make fook all difference imo, so yes, there's a glass ceiling that sits above us. It's called realism mate, you should try it sometime, & therein lies the difference between most Blues & most Reds, as we can see & begrudgingly accept the reality, you lot just continue to delude yourselves that the top is in sight - it isn't mate, you're as far away as we are, well actually you're now further away..............

Who said anything about denying it? Should we just go away & let you argue with yourself lol.

One added old & incompetent players to a team with holes, played then all in the wrong positions and blamed everybody & everything (including the fans) for his results.

BR has played positive football, with a positive attitude with a very young & inexperienced team.

Anyone with an idea about football would see these as chalk & cheese:

So that just the media and you who see they are the same eh?

So his 2 wins in 9 are Ok because he was positive in not winning, I see.

By denying it, I meant that you were having a pop as I had the audacity to judge BR after such a short span, I merely pointed out the hypocrisy of that comment when related to Roys tenure & you've seemingly accepted it, but with the caveat of positivity separating the 2 men.
